later Jeff, sorry I missed you again. I'm in triage and I musta seen 30 ppl in the last 2 1/2 hours! I didn't get a chance to check online til just now.

I see your light on now, but I'm just making a quick pit-stop.

What's going on there with all the people coming in?

So, what are the odds of us closing #9 down and getting to #10 by the time I leave on the 14th? I think we should be able to do that, don't you?

I'm not sure... They started Friday night and have been pouring in ever since. Laura was out of town and so I couldn't work earlier this weekend. (They were desperately calling me.) This morning they called and woke me up at 0630 and asked me to come in early, when I informed them I wasn't on the schedule they said ok and hung up. I got up got ready and waited for the call and sure enough one hour later they called again and asked if I wanted to work today. It was pandemonium when I came in. Full ER, Police everywhere and two nurses short. I was lauded for sacrificing my Sunday off. Truth was I needed it more than they needed me. I got a vacation next week and I want the spending money!

Very nice. I sure could use one. We just spent the last two hours pulling "Creeping Charlies" from the flower beds where Tony works. YUCK!!! I really need a pool now!!:thumbsup2

Just stopping in to see what's up this fine evening. Creeping Charlies have arrived from our next door neighbor right on schedule. Every year at this time I find myself battling them as they creep over to our turf. Our neighbor's lawn is nothing but Creeping Charlies. It's like a matt for his lawn. Sometimes I feal like I'm in the Alamo defending against them. I always when the battle, but never the war. :confused3

Cheryl,
You mentioned yesterday that you and Al were going to see a movie. Which movie was it? Lynn and I went last evening to see the Batman movie, Dark Knight. It was pretty good. I loved the Joker. The character was well done. Besides, I had a craving for pop corn and soda and it always tastes better at a theater. popcorn::
Chris

Walt and I went on 135 mile bike ride through the Texas Hill Country. It was fun alittle hot. Diane

Hello Diane,
Your ride reminded Lynn and I of the time we were stationed in Beeville at the Naval Air station. We had a MG Midget that we would pack the four of us in and drive through the desert, no particular destination in mind :confused3 as long as we would be able to get gas :worship: and find a Dairy Queen.

that is one of the requirements for a bike ride. a dairy queen or macdonalds. I love their ice cream cones. I am addicted. I like Macdonalds the best and it is only 3 points. weight watchers. Diane

Cheryl,

If you're still reading along here, just tell Rach that it is the Jonas Brothers instead. :rotfl2:

I still don't think she'll believe that :rotfl: Somehow I got conned into agreeing to take her and Courtney (her friend that is cruising with us) to Chicago on Aug. 24 for the Jonas Brothers concert there, I told Rach I must love her very much ;) You should see her bedroom walls, you can't see the walls anymore because they are completely covered in Jonas Brothers posters and now she is working on covering her ceiling with them too :rolleyes1

Chris we saw the Dark Knight too :thumbsup2 Believe it or not this is the first of the Batman movies that I have seen. We thought it was pretty good too, Al said he thinks it was the best of the Batman movies. Last weekend we saw Hancock and I really liked that one too.

Recommended for a 9 y.o.?

Or would you pick one of the other ones?

Hershey Park is great for a 9 year old. My daughters' Girl Scout troop (Brownie level: 1st-3rd grade) went there 2 years in a row. The theme park is a combo of roller coaster and other amusement park rides plus a water park area... no wave pool like Disney, but a cool play area and a couple of rides. My girls loved the water area. Sarah took her first roller coaster ride there. Of course, there are some long lines... and no fast pass!

Next to Hershey Park is a shop/museum to go through. There is a little mock "factory" tour that the kids can do to see how chocolate is made and help with the "packaging".

Those would be the main things to see. There is also Hershey lodge that you could visit. I think there is a trolley tour of the town as well.

Whatever you choose, have a great trip!:goodvibes
