Unable to modify reservations or create reservations at 11 month window

I am using my direct RIV points to extend an existing 7-day reservation that I made yesterday to include an 8th day. Get the error message on phone and laptop, after cleared cache and private mode.

I called MS - they were able to do it no problem and said they had no record of anyone reporting the issue. 🤷‍♀️

But January is during the 7 month window now. It has to be within the 7-11 month window in which you try to modify.

Try to check if you are even allowed to create a new 11 month booking. After you hit continue you either get the error straight away or it works.

Just booked a new 11 month reservation for May.

After, I modified it to add a day and it went through.

VGF direct points… I kept it and will see what happens tomorrow!!

Glad that it works but for some reason it’s not working for everyone.

I also tried my direct points for both May, June and August dates and every time I got the same error.

Definitely a problem here.
I can book &/or modify ressies under 7 months, but not for 7-11 months. Using 1100+ points, combo direct/resale.
If still an issue I'll call MS tomorrow, but currently my point usage is constrained.
 

7 AM on 9/16 and still getting the error message when I try to book a reservation at my home resorts starting on 8/15. I can book anything inside the 7 month window. This is using my mobile phone and the Chrome browser regular and incognito.

yes its also still not working for me, unless within the 7 month window.

Hopefully Disney will get their ..IT together today

Same problem for me. Trying to book within 11 months for August and can't get past the "Service Unavailable" error.
 
Oddly, now it's just VGF and Poly that are a problem for me. AKV and BWV work if I want to book there or modify a reservation that was made at 11 months.

yeah that is weird.

I just tried, and now its getting weird here too. I still have a problem with VGF and BWV. I own AKV Kidani and AKV Jambo, two separate memberships. The membership with AKV Kidani can't book either Jambo or Kidani. The membership with AKV Jambo can book both Jambo and Kidani.

I didnt try that combo yesterday so maybe it was the same but then again maybe not.

Yeah my AKV Kidani contract and VGF still can't book anything this morning 7-11 months.

DVC emailed me after I reached-out and said:

"We appreciate your concern. The challenges you are facing with online booking have been brought to the attention of our IT Partners. They are working on identifying the cause so that they can correct these challenges as quickly as possible. We do appreciate your continued patience as we hope to have this resolved soon. "

Thanks for the update.

I wonder if this will take as long to fix as the huge cluster F… error we saw in April - that took a few weeks to solve.
 
Just posted a new thread, but it now looks as though transferred points can be used online for 11 month bookings.

A few days too late for me as I missed out on the D23 weekend dates I wanted… but a good update if it sticks around!

I actually tried that all ready and at least for me it does not work with transferred in points - unless the points are the same home resort as you already own, then it works and I assume it has for a long time.

This a home resort I do not own. Never been able to use online before.

I was about to call to make a reservation, but thought I would try online, as the new contracts are showing transferred points I thought they may have changed something… and it went through!

ETA: definitely new as of today. I have tried many times before.

If it’s not a home resort you already own then it’s definitely new that you can use the points by yourself at 11 months.
