First day of school... children on the bus.......ahh... !!!
First day of school... children on the bus.......ahh... !!!

I just put my kids on the bus for their 4th day of school, but DS Jay was sad because his big sister wouldn't agree to sit with him on the bus. He started walking back to the house saying, "I'm not going to school." There is always excitement with my kids! Well I better finish getting ready and head to work. I'll check back later.Good morning everyone!

Hi All,
We docked at CC around 7:20 this morning while Hazel and I were eating breakfast on deck #9 at Goofy's Galley. Now just waiting for the all clear so we can leave the ship and enjoy the day at CC.
I'll be updating my blog later..![]()
Good evening, y'all. I haven't been on all day. Lots to catch up on--great stuff! Karen--beautiful vacation home. When Rob retires and he gets a job at Disney (in my dreams) maybe I will have a house like that (also in my dreams)....and you could come and stay for free!
Just an update. All of my and Rob's families have come through ok. Some others were not so lucky, so I am still keeping my fingers crossed for Walt's mama and family.![]()
Speaking of Walt....guess what we had for breakfast, my cajun friend? Boudin! It was awesome. Just the right amount of meat and seasoning and rice!![]()
Well, I am calling it a night. I think I will go and watch the rest of the Tennessee/UCLA game with Rob, and have a couple of beers.........
Karen, I can't see the pictures of your villa.(Stupid aol???)

Yes, it is not a typical southern drawl. My accent is rougher--Germany, Spain, and French Canadian, all rolled into one.
So please don't be afraid to ask me to repeat myself when I am talking to you. It doesn't offend me at all. I would rather repeat myself than have you think I am a raving lunatic.![]()
BTW Karen, I forgot to mention...the villa is gorgeous!!!! Well, I have to ignore that orange![]()
but other than that it really really looks nice! Good job

Walt's mom stayed home and she is doing okay. The chief of police checked on her and Mr Russell last nite. Walts brother has no electricity. I dont know about his niece who lives in Lafayette. She went to her dads house. So far so good. We are up and ready to go visit the sights in Springfield Illinois. Lots of Lincoln attractions., harley dealers and post office to send extra tieshirts we have bought along the way. Talk to you later. Diane
At least you dont sound Australian![]()
I have been asked before if I am an Aussie, too.....![]()
Karen - thanks for info on the flights, sean has priced them up and got the same quote as you. We cant book them yet as we dont know the dates for the october holiday yet and olivia is starting high school tomorrow(OMG) and we need to get permission to take her out of school. So hopefully by next week we can book, but i am now panicking that the fares will go up.
There she goes.

Went back to look at some of the posts from the Canal day. Came across this pic.
Rumor has it shortly after we left the canal a container ship without their lights on came VERY close to us. The magic had to make a hard right to avoid it.
Not sure how true it is, but we heard it from a fiance of an officer who sat with us in Sessions one night. We were first talking about the "Bright Star" that was called on night and then were trying to find out what the code was for an overboard (which is Mr. MOB). She came over and told us that. Then she was saying she was surprised we didn't get a "Blue Star" the night we left the canal. Asked her about that, and she said it deals with the transfer of water in the Ballast (or something like that). Guess they have a system where they move water from port to starboard or vice versa if the ship lists. Well, I guess with the hard right she thought they'd have to balance it off.
She said she was in the officers' mess and was talking to a Bridge Officer (granted he was only 30) and he said it was the closest he's ever come to another ship.
Wish there was a way to see how true this is and how close that ship came. If it were closer to home, you could check NTSB, but not sure who overseas the waterways down there.
