10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat Cruise (I'm with BOB) Chapter #10

The only stipulation we've made this year is that it has to be small(ish). People so far have suggested keyrings, fridge magnets, xmas ornaments, homemade cd's, pens, that sort of thing. Last year mine took up half a suitcase on the way out and the gifts took about the same on the return.

Due to every airline clamping down on weight etc we decided to keep it small this year.

I think you're already on the Tag list - maybe Lori put your name down?

Anyone else want to play? Any newbies to the thread want to put your name down? I seem to remember someone suggested closing it at about 30ish?

I don't think we'll be able to close at 30ish the way this thread is going....it'll end up being closed a year out!

I think as long as we keep things small we should keep DIStag open until a couple months before the cruise to give newer people a chance to play. I don't think I joined the KK thread until May before the cruise, and I would have missed out on a lot.

Well, they're gone. My kids have gone off to start their first day of school. I just want to cry.....NOT!

They were so ready for the new school year. so was I.

Now I guess I have no excuses....I have to get some housework done.

Wow, our school year does not start until after Labor Day....Thomas's first day of school will be September 3rd. We have a countdown calendar on the fridge that he's crossing off the days until kindergarten!

(And for me, it's counting down the last days that I'll be paying for full-time daycare! )

No problem - I'm easy to go along with everyones ideas - I dont think I could manage anything near the tag game that Becky is playing right now, but I'm sure it wouldnt get THAT big

Well, we went to fetch Neils party items and I realised my credit card was missing from my purse

Took me ages to remember where I'd last used it. Got home and phoned the store - luckily the store still had it from last Friday - geez - if I wasn't grey haired already I would be by now - I sooooooooo panicked!

Just been up to collect it.

Phoned Neil to tell him what I'd done only to find out he'd been stooopid today too! - he locked his car keys in the trunk of his car

Duh! - dont think our brains are working properly -must be all this rain thats made them soggy!

Now I've reached 6000th posts
Hello! Karen Mouse is my DIS name

A smallish bunch of Bob'ers
are cruising as we speak,
They're all onboard for 15 days
instead of just 1 week.

The rest of us wish we were there,
onboard the Magic too,
Alas, we're on the DIS instead,
I guess that will have to do.

We wait, and plan, and chat... A LOT!
It's 13 months til our cruise is due
Oct 24 we'll all be onboard

I've been known to peruse my 2007 Live trippie too now and again...Kira loves to look at the pics with me. She gets so excited when she sees the characters, now that she actually knows who they are

Shirley is a sweetheart, she does this all the time. We'll be stopping in to see her while we are on Florida, we leave in 11 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our schools around here don't start back up until the Thursday after Labor day, this year they start on September 4th, but we will be at OKW relaxing and enjoying ourselves!!!
