Hoping to see some nice pics from the WI DISmeet!!! ;) ;) ;)

Have a fun time all!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I will have my normal camera, so I won't have any waterpark pics, put I wil have some others of the weekend.

With it cold and grey today, it is a perfect day for a waterpark hotel.

We told DS that we're going to the hotel, but not that anyone was going to be there. So he has another surprise coming.

Then to top it off, Suz really good friend from Vegas is coming in. I found a last minute airfare yesterday morning for her to come in today through next Sunday. Only $187. The lowest I ever flew MKE-LAS was $175 and that was many years ago when NWA was in competition with MW. $228-$258 is usually the lowest you can get now a days. So he gets yet another surprise when we get home. She is more of a grandma to him than his own (not counting mine, but she's been deceased for 6 years).

I've been up since stupid o clock again.

Neil was away last night so I never sleep properly. Then at 4am a car pulled into the Close, stayed a minute or 2 then reversed out???:confused3

Ten minutes later it was back and parked outsie my house:confused3

Looked really suspicious so I took the licence plate number just incase. Of course I didnt sleep after that so I've had atotal pof 3 1/2 hours sleep:rolleyes:

Off to take Ellis and his mate to karate now:headache:

Karen - What's a Close?

Mimi- good luck with the elbow and how did you do that?

I have no idea - Mack says it is from using the computer in an awkward position (laptop) but one gets it from overuse of the muscles/tendons, and in this case it would be from pulling them toward me, not liek tennis. Golf can do it sometimes. I don't golf.

We were looking for you last night!

We were looking for you last night...:surfweb:

Ditto - above - we thought you must be exhausted.

:yay: "52 Weeks until Sailaway Day!!!" :yay:

52 weeks - YIPPEE!!!!! (in Donald yellow)

Good morning everyone...

We woke up again with a cold house! Last week, our upstairs was the only zone with no heat. We got that fixed on Monday. When I went downstairs today it was cold down there as well. When I went down to look at the boiler there were flashing lights and one very omnious "alarm" light flashing. I immediately called the Oil Company. It is going to be a cool raw day here so I started a fire to get the living room warm anyway. I hope they fix it quick, but all of those flashing lights have me worried.

Oh I hope it gets fixed quickly and not too expensively. Glad you have a fire place!

Thanks for the recommendations. I am definitely getting an appetizer and an entree. How many times do we get out without the kids?!?!?!?! This is a special occasion, so I am splurging. We don't drink, but I may have to indulge is some nice virgin tropical drink.

I was told that what I was going to wear wasn't good enough by both my wife and neighbor. It sounds like Elaine and her have my outfit all planned out. I was going to wear my micro fiber khaki's and a nice bright "tropical" looking shirt that I wore on Pirate night last cruise. We are going to Margaritaville after all??!??!?!? I was told "dress pants (suit pants) and a button down shirt. I was told we are going out, so we are dressing up. So it will be more like Semi formal at Lumiere's for us tonight. I don't mind. I am really looking forward to it. I just have to do some ironing, shoe polishing, and maybe charge up the camera for pics.

Have fun Chris!

WI DISers - enjoy your time together! Please post pictures.

I am off to get breakfast ready! We slept in today - Mack had no youth games to ref!!!! Yippee!

Hey Andy...wow I love looking at my ticker and seeing it now shows as less than a year.

I will wear my best "dress style jeans" as they call them in official correspondence at work when we are allowed to dress casually at events. :lmao:

The wood I am using for our fire isn't burning as good as I would like. It was from the bottom of the pile that sat long the outside of our garage so it is has been sitting on the ground for a year. I think it might start burning a little better now that I am getting some hot coals going now.

Enjoy that event tonight Andy. It sounds like a very nice celebration.

I know this one. It is a court or cul du sac (sp?).

That is what Mack guessed, but I said, "Why would the person 'reverse' out if it is a cul-de-sac?" THey are circular - at least here. So are they circular there or does the street just "close off" hence the name?

That sounds like fun Jeff. Our corporate Family Christmas party is at an indoor water park in two weeks. My kids get excited every time they see the commercials on TV.

I'm looking forward to this hotel. Never been there. Not sure hoe big the indoor park is, but it looks pretty big. I know they have a ton of slides and a lazy river, but the one I'm looking forward to is the mat racer - similar to the one in Blizzard. I love that one. Never lost yet.

Unfortunately its this time of year that brings the thieves back out:rolleyes: They're all looking to make a quick buck before christmas, or to steal all the presents we've bought already:mad:

We have had a few incidents in the neighbourhood recently. Thats the one trouble about living in a lovely area with nice homes - all those who dont think we're all wealthy enough to replace anything they feel like stealing:mad:

Rick seems to think that it might get worse, once the recession takes hold.:sad2:

Up early to do a few wedding things and then off to meet up with 13 other Wisconsin BOBers. I just found out that there is a Croc store on the way up there so I'll have to make a stop there first. Maybe we'll run into to Cheryl's family there.

Then over to a mall for the Disney Store and finally to the resort where I'm sure we'll find the other BOBers in the waterpark already.

Have a great weekend everyone. :cheer2:

Have a great meet all WI bobers.

Yep, I hear ya on the mat racer. The key is to really give yourself a good push.

Normally, they don't have a circular end, so if there is no where to do a three point turn, you then have to reverse out.

Yep...I road with a dead end.
Since I am an English teacher, I guess that is part of the reason why I love the differences in languages, dialects, regional definitions, etc... Here, that kind of road is a dead end and is not nearly as desirable for a home owner as a cul-de-sac: a dead end that ends in a circle where children have extra room to play. It is considered a protected area, because cars would not really go down there without reason. A dead end on the other hand is considered a nuisance because there is not room to turn around.

I just love learning about others' language! Thanks for educating me this morning!

Actually, the key is to lift the front of the mat up a little bit. I've had people get a little head start on me at Blizzard, but by the bottom of the first drop, I'm sailing past them. Less resistence with it up. Plus, all my weight helps too. :rolleyes1

My son just got his official acceptance into the Pacific program at his university, so he is on his way to Australia and New Zealand to study in January. I am so happy for him since he wanted it so much, but geez, it is far away. Now I have to find out how to use the cell phone there and anything else special about his travelling over there. Anyone know anything about any of that?

Did you ever make it to the bumper at the end?

Yes, a couple of times, with the others close to it. Once I barely stopped I was coming in so quick. I pressed down really hard on the mat. Skinned my knee once trying to stop.

Man, talking about it makes me want to be down in WDW (and to think I passed on a chance to go next weekend and two weeks later - I had ressies for both but cancelled).
