Thanks for the FO explanation Verandah Man. Sounds similar to something we did on the SSMC08 thread.

Good question about the DCL fuel surcharge - and the ones on airlines as well.

I am taking a quick break from cleaning and getting ready for Sunday, so I thought I would jump on and see whats going on.

Yeah, and oil is dropping like a rock. So where is the repeal of the Fuel Surcharge on DCL?

I don't think we will ever see that money...especialy from the airlines. I was shocked. I gassed up our big van the other day and it was literally on fumes. It only cost $85 to fill it up at $2.97 a gallon! That is down from $125-$130 this summer.

Hi everybody! I need help from those of you who go to the World a lot. We are going to Florida Nov. 20th and flying home on Thanksgiving day. We will be staying with my in-laws who live not quite an hour from Orlando. They want to take us and the boys to Disney for 1 (!) day. Here is my dilemma:

Question #1: Which park should we go to and why? (My kids adore Epcot, but I think Grandma is leaning towards MK.)

Question #2: Do you think it would be better to go Friday the 21st or Monday the 24th? (I would assume those days would be better as far as crowds go than the weekend.)

Any other advice would be gladly taken. Thanks Much!!!

AFEG, I see the Pound:Dollar is down to around $1.55. That's a huge drop since before the repo.

Your not funny ex-friend....:rotfl2: I think we could go as low as $1.30 which would stop us coming over in the near futureI almost bought 5k to stash away just in case a couple of weeks ago,the rate then $1.72....:scared1:....hindsight is a wonderful thing :sad2:

We "almost" did that too Chris:sad2: - really wishing we'd bought some earlier for xmas:sad2:

Didn't you get like $2.04 or $2.07 to 1 about a month before the repo?

Should have stocked up.

Wound, salt, rub:rolleyes:

I am doing the under 200# dance. :yay: :yay:   :yay: :yay:

After the extended workout this morning, I got on the scale, and found out I said good-bye to another 2 pounds(28# total to date), which brings me to goal #2, I am now officially under 200# for the first time in a very long time!!!

:woohoo: :woohoo: way to go Andy:woohoo: :woohoo:

Yep, it is now empty like that. They even found a body at the bottom of it.:scared1:

:scared:

Hi everybody!!!!

Yeah, I think fuel surcharges are like "special" taxes, they put them in but never take them away. Why don't they just hide it in the price. Looks foolish now for them to still have it.

BTW, I saw gas for $2.639 this morning. I think it is lower on the south side of Milwaukee.

Wonder if we'll see sub-$2.00?

Hi Victoria. Good to hear from you.

I'll answer #2 first. My friend went last year over Thanksgiving and said the crowds weren't bad the days leading up to Thursday. I would say you'd be fine with either, but probably less on Friday.

As for #1, do your in-laws go to the parks often? If so, looking into hopper tickets that are more than one-day. What is the cost of a 2-day hopper compared to a 1-day single park or 1-day hopper? Maybe have them go both the 21st and 24th. They could go to a couple of parks each day. If you get longer hopper tickets, they can go again on the next trip down.

If I were to pick only one park, I'd go MK. Seems to be the most "Disney" there.

Yes I remember that show. It was one of my favorites. Di

I would go to Magic Kingdom just because it is my favorite park. I would probably go on the 21st. maybe alittle less crowded. Diane

I paid $2.37 for gas, Kristen my dd paid $2.18 and Walter paid $2.33.
These were all today's prices. Diane

Fortunately, I don't believe that happened in Lake Delton.

Victoria! Hey girl!! I don't know the answer either but I just wanted to say hi like Karen did. :goodvibes Yes, stop in more often. You are still an "Honorary BOB" you know.

I don't think Wisconsin will ever see gas under $2.00 anymore, but if we do, I'll let you fill up my tank. :cutie:

Time to steal a FO and then off to see what Cass and Bendy are up to on their TR's. I love reading the responses they get. Sometimes they are just as funny as what the girl's wrote. :lmao:

$2.48 today in Atlanta - 1 month ago it was $4.29 when you could get it - which you couldn't!

I was filling up last night at $2.53 - while I was putting the gas in the man came out and changed the sign to $2.48! I was loosing 5 cents a gallon because they change the sign, then the pump, so I stopped!
