It seems that we'd be able to get perhaps $495/person one way. But multiply that by 4, plus cruise fare, plus tipping, passports (which we don't have yet), souviners, etc. PLUS flight from MCO to home afterwards (probably around $200/person Xs 4) and :headache: :scared: .

BUT, if we don't travel in 2009 it might all even out. Lots to think about! :surfweb:

I was doing a little researching last night just for the heck of it and found one way tix from Barcelona to New York(JFK) for about $505.00 per person. I may have to rethink this, it could be a 55th Birthday and Early Retirement Cruise.......:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

On the other hand ... we leave for WDW in 24 hours!!! :cool1:

Asking for some dust stuff as I have another medical test today that I'll have to get follow-up results on while we're in FL ...

Happy hols Brenda and good luck with your results:wizard: :cool1:

Looks like an extended WDW trip, a week in Mexico at the end of October, or a cruise on Norwegian or Royal in 2010. May even look at Alaskan cruises for August 2010.

Why not visit friends in England:banana: :yay: :goodvibes

WOW! I had no clue! Thanks for the info. :)

Like I said, DVC does pay for up to 5 referrals, but I know that CT is one of the states that does not allow it.

1st referral is $200, $350 for the 2nd, up to $1000 for the 5th.

I just bought at AKV on the Member Cruise and I got dinner at Palo, a Mickey big fig limited addition figurine, $250 onboard credit and 5 nights in a 2 bedroom savannah at AKV with Fast Passes included.

You need to chat with a DVC Guide about the latest deals. It's very low pressure and they have different offers at different times.

The debate in our house would be what resort to buy into! LOL Elaine would love the AKV, but I would be more into BWV or WV.

If we do it, it will be a couple of years away, but it is definitely something I might be interested in.

It's always nice to have something to look forward to!

Keep the resale market in mind too. One of my friends started out that way and he was very happy with the process. With resale, you can start with a smaller contract and work your way up. DVC now requires a minimum purchase of 160 points. Plus, resale is the only way you can buy the resorts that are already sold out, like BWV & BCV.

Yeah, that's about the price my TA said she's seen from our region to Barcelona.

Hi everyone,

Just stopping by to say hello.....

Looking at the 2010 cruises is making my head hurt - wow! :scared1: I don't think we'll be doing any of those....unless we win the big lottery!

I really want to do WDW in 2010, but I have to figure out how to afford it first. DH wants to stay in the Contemporary again if we go (he loves the convenience of the monorail) but that is one of the Deluxe properties, and fewer rooms too now that they're adding a DVC property there. I wouldn't mind trying a value or moderate, but they all have double beds...:sad2:

tiling all done.:thumbsup2 grouting done.:thumbsup2 i was going to have ds come over and help me move the fridge and stove back so as not to scratch the new floor, but my sweet polly/ gym freak/ robin nudged me out of the way and picked up the fridge by herself and plopped it down right when it goes.:scared: then she lifted the stove with one hand and put it in place too.!!!:scared: no way i'm messing with that girl.:scared: :worship:
  :rolleyes1

She is beautiful. I can not wait to see the wedding pictures. Our son is getting married on July. I would love any tips for giving a shower. It looks like yours was wonderful.

Awwww thanks. That was sweet. This is actually the second kid getting married this year. As much fun as it is, I'm looking forward to a little "Serenity Now".....:goodvibes

PM me anytime. I'd be happy to help out. :thumbsup2

If I could afford the $1,000 pp airfare, I would look into the DCL cruises, with of course a stop to see my friends in the UK.

Although, the pound is sure dropping against the dollar now. Might become affordable once again.
