San Francisco Giants lost to the Padres today - they NEED to win tomorrow to clinch the title.....St Francis Sharks WON their homecoming game and now i'm hoping for an Iowa WIN!!!! Let's GO Hawkeyes!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Hawkeyes played a good first half! I love it when they are ranked so ESPN will pick up some of their games. I even subscribed to the Big Ten Network so catch a few more games.:cheer2:

AAA offers discounted tickets. Also, I noticed that there are other runners/joggers on board. FYI there is a 5K run the morning that we get to CC. Our DD has run it several times, you get a certificate from DCL when you complete the run. Our DD just completed a 12mile relay run last night at WDW. It started at 11PM they finished just after 1:30 AM. (Her partner, our oldest DD flew down from NJ just to run in it and flew back this morning.) Some people are nuts.

We just received our "Photopass" in the mail for our WDW stay after the cruise! We're almost there folks! 19 Days!!

Is anyone planning to rebook onboard? We would like to since we made the mistake of not doing it last cruise. But how do you know what to book? Our kids are still in college/high school so the scheduling becomes really hard. To those with younger kids, take them out of school now for vacations because it's almost impossible to do it in high school!

I have always rebooked onboard - but never actually taken the cruise i've booked - you just book a dummy date and then change it once you know what/when you can do....you still get the onboard booking discounts and credits
sure wish they'd adopt photopass for the cruise
OHHHH i thought they had....???

San Francisco Giants clinched that title today!!! WOOOOHOOOO:cool1: - hoping to see them in the World Series!!! it's been a few years!

PS - WELCOME to the newcomers to our thread....this group is going to ROCK this ship!!!!!

We're certainly newcomers to the thread, but still hoping our info gets added to the list on the first page anyway - looking forward to the trip!

I agree. If I understand correctly...the photo company is contractor for DCL. IMHO - that is why there is such a difference between photo set up/options at the parts vs DCL.

You can purchase a cd of all the images taken of you and your family. Appears they use some software that recognizes you/yours. However...for a seven day cruise...this cd is quite pricey - $399.

Below is some information from the main boards FAQ section and a thread where people are discussing the photo cd option. k

Shutters - Photos packages onboard are now based on "photo credits" for the different size pictures you want to purchase. Photo sizes are 6x8 or 8x10.

10 Photo Credits: $89
20 Photo Credits: $149
30 Photo Credits: $199

You can also purchase photo CD's (priced according to length of cruise)

3, 4 and 5 day cruises the CD is $299
7 day or longer the CD is $399

Any purchaser of a CD can purchase any prints or credit package at 1/2 off the advertised price (both Magic and Wonder).

Welcome to our group. I am sure Brenda will add you as soon as she has the time. I am looking forward to meeting everyone at out first meet on board!!

This Cruise is just around the corner. I began to back up my clothes yesterday!!!

So I tore all the ligaments in my ankle Wednesday
On crutches for the next month and 8-12 weeks until I get back to work...hopefully the seas will be calm or I'll be flopin around like a pinball in the hallways!:lmao:

Sorry to hear about ur injury - I know you can get a wheelchair to get around from Guest Services if you need on the ship...this might be helpful for the stateroom tour?

Hi all:

My wife, Eileen and I, and our two youngest, ages 8 and 9, are on board - first time Disney cruisers! :dance3: We are psyched!! Sorry to be SUCH a newbie, but what is an FE? We are packing one pirate outfit. pirate: Do we REALLY need formalwear, as the brochure claims? Can't see myself packing a tux. Do we need to reserve somewhere an early or late dinner, or how does that work? Sorry for all the questions! Brenda, your "tips" posted WAY back at the beginning of the thread were AWESOME!!

We can't wait!!!!:cool1::yay:

My DH and I like to dress up so I am renting him a tux from http://www.cruiselineformal.com - not that expensive and I wear an evening cocktail dress...there is also a semi-formal night and it is nice to dress up if you are going to Palo - they take a picture of you there and you can purchase it from Shutters. There are alot of picture opportunities on board so it is nice to be dressed up sometimes.

Also our cruise is not just having Pirate night but Halloween activities too! And as my DH and I are going to MNSSHP on Oct 31st anyway - we will have our halloween costumes on board too :cool1:

When you reserved you were put in a seating automatically - you can check with DCL to see which one you are in and request a change if you want - they are very good about switching people but I understand the early seating is more popular with familes.

Hi JohnO! Did you preorder your Photopass cd and they sent you a Photopass card in the mail to use at the parks? I read when you check in now, at a WDW hotel, they hand you a photopass card. I'm confused.

Just a suggestion for everyone using photopass - when you get the card write down the photopass number or take a picture of the back of the card with your camera/camera phone. Just in case you loose the card, you won't loose your pics! We have had times when our pics did not show up on our online account. Double check your online photopass account when you can, during your trip, so you can report them missing.

We have been planning this trip for over a year now. I can't believe we leave for WDW in 2 weeks!!

Wow!! Hey, Everyone, I'm back. Boy, has it been BUSY up in HERE!!! I have some major catching up to do.

First, though, I'd like to welcome all of our newcomers. I now think most of the ship is on DisBoards!! How :cool1: is that??!!!

Now, I need to find out how many newcomers (those of you who joined the group after the FE deadline) wish to participate in the FE gift exchange? I think with the number of additional folks, there should be enough to form a good size Group 4. I'm afraid that the other 3 groups are pretty full and would like to pretty much keep the numbers as they are.

For those of you who are axniously awaiting the final list, I will have that (I PROMISE!!) by the end of the day. The numbers haven't changed greatly. Mostly, what I am waiting for are the last of the cabin nunbers.

And finally, for those of you who have signed up for the FE and I have not heard from you, I will be deleting you from the list unless I have a response of ANY KIND by 4:00 pm, PST.

Oh, and did I mention that we only have 19 MORE DAYS!!!

:woohoo::yay::dance3::cool1::goodvibes:cheer2:

HI, I just found this site!! My son and I are going can't wait. I have started to think about what to bring. I just got my dresses for the formal dinners! :rotfl:

Hi, there Laura and welcome aboard. I will add you and your son to our main post.

Hey all,
I too have been reading this post for several months. We have 9 people in our party. The kids are so excited! We are dressing up for everything and I have full intentions of looking like a complete fool, but that is what having fun is about!!
I can't wait!! I'm worried about getting all of this stuff packed!
I really want to say "Thank you" to all who have offered information and advice!:goodvibes
Mel

Hi, Mel, and welcome aboard! If you would like me to list everyone on the main post, give me their names and whatnot and I will be sure to add you all to the main post.

We are very late to this party, but we will be cruising on this trip. Cruisers include myself (Laurie), husband Chuck, DGS Dylan (7) and Charles (5). Cannot believe it is just around the corner!!

Hi, Laurie, Welcome aboard to your and your family. I am adding you all to our main post on page one shortly here.

Hi Brenda - Just in case my PM gets lost in the cleaning out of said mailbox ;) My cabin number is 6083.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and can't wait to give out my FE's!

:thumbsup2

sunshine-did you get my room number? 6062?

:thumbsup2

Hi Everyone! My partner and I can't wait for this cruise! This will be our first cruise ever ... cruising with my Brother (DisWitt) and his family - wife and two sons. I'm so glad my DB turned me on to disboards cuz without them I think I'd feel like a total "new guy" on board! Thanks for all the great ideas and tips on EVERYTHING!!
I'm making the FE for my bro's family and after seeing some of the pics on here of others, I'm afraid they are going to look like the "Ghetto Family" of the ship!! Sorry, TW!

I'm so glad it's finally October ... we booked this cruise in Feb 2009 and it has taken FOREVER for this time to finally get here!!

Looking forward to enjoying the week with everyone!

Hi, Tw. Welcome aboard, Wow, how fun to be traveling with your brother and his family. If you give me everyone's name, I will add you all to our main cruise post.

Oh my goodness!!! I'm so sorry. Well, you really need some R&R now! Take care and look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks.

Hi, we didn't pre-order the CD. We've only booked a few days at Coronado Springs Resort for after the cruise. We received a letter from WDW on friday. It had a photopass in it, explained how to use it, and suggests registering the card online, in advance of our trip.

Hi Brenda:

Sorry, I'm Bob. This is a great thread. We are very psyched for our first Disney cruise! Do you guys all meet on board somewhere, at the outset of the cruise?

BTW, Minniesota - GO TWINS!! Beat those Yankees . . .
