Well i've always found these threads REALLY pick up steam in the last few weeks prior to the trip....so those numbers could really change a lot

MY 1st 3 cruises were always w/my son...(the last one with some good friends)...definitely some great bonding time - He's away at college now, and my daughter was supposed to be going along with my sister & her daughter. But, my daughter & her hubby are expecting their 1st baby and she's just a bit too far along to meet DCL's pregnancy rule. So we'll go in a few years and take the little guy with us. I don't believe you have to sign him in advance....as a matter of fact my niece turns 12 in 2 wks....theres quite a few kids in that age range on this cruise so he should have a great time

While I cannot be positive. I was on the Wonder last year during this time and we had both a Pirate night and Halloween Trick or Treating and that was only a 3 night cruise. With this being 7 nights I see no problem with them fitting both in.......

Hmm.. are you guys packing pirate costume AND Halloween costume? I am trying to convince DD to wear pirate costume for both.

Pirate costumes for both events for us.

2 costumes would take up too much precious limited baggage space.

We are atempting to create our own pirate and pirate wench costumes.



We found some patterns at Wal Mart and looked through stuff posted on ebay.



What we have come up with for costumes are some items being made from the patterns, some items - accessories bought on ebay, and some items from the back of the closet. Hope our costumes come out okay - we have put a great deal of effort into them and have no idea what we are doing. On past cruises we have seen some people dress up in some amazing pirate attire - to the point that the CM's in the dining rooms wer impressed. With our cruise being the week of Halloween I am hoping that many people will be in the mode of dressing up for the special events we are going to have. Can not wait to see how we all dress up for pirate night.

We bought ours online from, I believe, BuyCostumes or CostumeExpress or maybe both. Good Luck!

Hope all had a great weekend. Glad to hear some are getting some better weather....you sure can send some cooler temps here to Phoenix. appears our cooler tempatures are coming...just not fast enough for me.

We are! Well mine is not really a costume. It's more like gypsy look. I loved how the pics turned out last time when we were all dressed up.

Our whole group is....mostly found stuff on ebay and Ross stores are great place to pick up some 'cheap' jewelry & other accessories....don't know if my niece will have two costumes or just wear her pirate gear for both....but i'd hate to take up too much space for 'costumes' - that would mean less shopping
