Yeah & Boo!!! Yeah, in one month we'll be on the beautiful Disney Magic & Boo:woohoo:, summer is over:eek: In a couple of days I'm going to be putting my convertible away in storage.
Believe or not it went up to almost 90 yesterday and may go up in the 80's today, after that it looks like it will be typical fall weather.
Our Calif summer is FINALLY here....beautiful beautiful (non foggy non drizzly) days!!! temps are expected to reach 95 this weekend.....WOOHOOO!!!!and the Giants are in FIRST place AND 26 days from now i'm in my HAPPY place!!!

speaking of....Sunshine Brenda - no definite plans - call my cell when you get to your resort - maybe we can meet up for drinks or something

In all my past cruises I had a ticket on the desk of the stateroom that told me I had $$$$ worth of on board credit.
YEP - LOVE to get all those little envelopes!!!!

Hello everyone. We cancelled this cruise, in favor of another WDW trip. But we did keep our 10/22 reservation at the mco Hyatt, as it was cheaper than the alternatives. Well, I just checked, and saved a $8 on our original rate. Got the free breakfast AAA deal again, too. It isn't much money, I know, but all these little bits add up over time, and we wanted to share this info. If anybody is booked there 10/22, take a look.

Yes, glad to have our beautiful sunshine again. It was so foggy one morning last week that I took the wrong turnoff, then almost missed the right one, and to top it off almost missed my building. Could not believe how foggy it was. It burned off, of course, but still.

I have your number, Strawberry Brenda, and when we decide what we are going to, I will give you a call. My DH will most definitely probably want to get together that first night.

Can't believe we will be on a plane to WDW in just 26 DAYS!!!

Thanks Brenda, we found what you were talking about on page #7. Can we use OBC for excursions? I guessing probably not.

John

John - i believe you can use OBC for excursions....your portfolio starts out at -0- or w/e credit amt you have...then you start racking up the expenditures...and the net total at the end of 7 days is what you pay :)

I'm not telling what my 1st cruise portfolio total was :rotfl: - got a bit smarter on the 2nd & 3rd

John

You can use it for anything. Excursions, tips, drinks, merchandise, spa etc. Basically, it's a credit against anything you charge to your KTTW card. If you have a credit leftover - you lose it. So, spend away.

Yes, John, you can use the OBC for anything on the ship or whatever you have charged to your room.

Oh, and what Strawberry Brenda said too. :lmao:

Brenda,

How many are going to be in a group? Since I have been working on these I have been doing everything in 12's. I hope I am on track or even close.

Sunshine Brenda...did you "plan" to arrive WDW exactly TWO years from the conception of this thread - or is it merely coincidental???? :rotfl2:

I guess we all got John's question answered....:rotfl:

think this weekend is time to pack the "stuff" FE gifts...door signs...our white board...stuff i'll need there but not here :)

CELEBRATION, Fla. (Sept. 2010) – Disney Cruise Line will treat guests sailing during late-October to a spook-tacular good time as the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder transform into a ghoulish wonderland filled with hair-raising events and activities. Guests of all ages will delight with special decorations, unique menu items in the restaurants and themed dance parties on deck.

The Halloween happenings take place on the Disney Magic cruise departing Oct. 23 and 30 and on the Disney Wonder cruises departing Oct. 17, 21, 24, 28 and 31.

Here is a glimpse at the treats awaiting Disney Cruise Line guests this Halloween:

• Trick-or-Treat Trail: Young guests are invited to participate in a trick-or-treat hunt exploring multiple decks of the ship and collecting candy from various stations.
• Haunted Parties: Following the trick-or-treat hunt, families will gather at the Goofy Pool for a fun-filled Halloween costume party – Disney Cruise Line style. The world-famous Disney Characters will join in the fun, wearing special Halloween costumes just for the occasion. For adults, the nighttime entertainment district on the Disney ships becomes the ghoulish setting for a costume contest and party sure to bring chills to everyone.
• Spooky Movies: To get guests into the spirit of the season, Halloween-themed movies will be shown in the Buena Vista Theatre, on the Ariel Vision screen by the family pool and in guest staterooms.
• Ghoulish Delights: Disney Cruise Line chefs have conjured some very special treats for Halloween, including chocolate cake with pumpkin filling, spider cakes and “Witch’s Brew.”

To learn more about Disney Cruise Line or to book a vacation, guests can visit disneycruise.com, call Disney Cruise Line at 888/DCL-2500 or contact their travel agent.

Hope that helps you in deciding when to sail. We would've actually chosen a longer cruise, as I have a sneaking suspicion 3 days will be too short, but it's our first cruise and we're not sure how the kids will handle being on the ship yet.

AWESOME!! I can't wait! Thank you for passing this on.:thumbsup2

this sounds too cool. It will be fun to see the characters dressed up for Halloween! Interested to see how the chefs play up Halloween. I never even thought about these possibilities when we booked this date

Neither did I, so this is an extra treat for us. We were originally booked for the second week in November and had to bump up a few weeks because of work issues.
