Hey, can someone answer this for me? I was wondering if IllumiNations is shown during the month of October? From what I can find out, it doesn't appear that it does.

The reason I ask is if is not showing, then the day that we do Epcot would be the day that we would do MNSSHP. We really only have 2 choices; October 21st and 22nd. No way do I want to do that on a Friday night. So, the 21st it is.

The ship will DOCK at all of our ports. No tender boats for us...that's a big plus. K

I read a thread recently that indicated St. Thomas was going to be a tendered port (not sure how accurate that is):

When we did the Eastern in 2007 it was docked at that time and I don't believe there was any more than 1-2 other ships in port that day.

I think I will call DCL about this. It sounds like people were notified via email if their cruise was going to tender. I wonder if it will be a problem? We were planning on taking the ferry to St John. Hope this won't cut into time.

Cindi and Tams, could you let me know who is traveling with you and how many cabins will be participating in the FE exchange.

Although I know some of you have book gty rooms, if you have your cabin room numbers could you please get those to me. And if you haven't already provided me with the names of those participating along with the ages of the children, I like that as well. If you wish that infomation be provided only to those participating in the FE, then PM and I will only put it on the FE list.

Okay, folks, it is coming up on our cut-off date for joining the FE. Please, if your name is not on this list, let me know so that I may add you as soon as possible.

Also, I will need cabin numbers, names and ages of those in your cabin. This helps people with the giving process. Some of you are still in a GTY status with your rooms so you won't have that available yet. But, please get me the rest of the info as soon as possible. If you wish you can PM me with the info.

Next, are the any suggestions on how to split up the group? Right now, I am thinking of doing 2 groups. I will put everyone's name in a "hat" and randomly place you in either group. But that is just my idea.

Any other suggestions?

And it wasn't that difficult, either was it? My first one I did from trying to remember what they were suppose to look like. It is huge. You will see it on this trip.

The other one looks like the standard FEs, with a little touch of "Brenda" in it. That one looks much better. Yours remind me of my last one. Although it isn't reversible, the letters are removable. That way, I can switch out names and ships as the particular cruise dictates.

Just a question getting to know each other...

What does everyone do for work?

I am a nurse and I work in a hospital. I do 12 hour shifts, 3 times per week, and I have to work every other weekend. I love my job, but it can be very hectic and crazy at times.

What do you do?

I am the Customer Service Manager for a frzn food manufacturer - we are an ingredient supplier - frzn strawberry products - millions and millions of lbs of strawberries! I have been in frzn food for 30 years....and I LOVE it!!!!!
My Dsis is also a nurse for all you nurses out there - she is now the 'head honcho' director at a nursing home/assisted living facility and my DD is in media marketing...Niece Joeli still in school

My DW already has her suitcase laid out in the spare bedroom. She's started packing her outfits for the cruise...

I don't recall if this is your 1st cruise but i know i started packing in May for our August cruise on our 1st one....

We have never done the FE before, and it sounds like a lot of fun! I think random placement in groups is great---otherwise, I think you'll be spending too much time worrying about ages of kids and where people are on the ship, and you've done enough already!

I agree with John O's previous post that if we are getting gifts for just two groups (about 60 people in each group) that it could get a bit pricey, and participants may be spending a lot of time delivering gifts through out the ship.

Thanks! It was pretty simple. i got a little fancy with the reversible part, but that's only because we couldn't agree - pirates or Halloween.

John, you don't have to give a gift to everyone in the cabin a gift nor are your require to gift one everyday. You can give a simple inexpensive gift that all in the cabin can enjoy. It is a lot of fun. Keep thinking about it.
