Castaway Cay would look really great about now. I've had about 30" of snow fall here since Saturday evening. Schools where close Monday and so where county offices. So I had the day off since I work for the county. I spent most of the day keeping up with the snow in my driveway.

I will be on this cruise along with my sister, nephew and his wife. We are leaving our husbands and kids at home! (kids are college/high school and can't take the time and our hubbies, who have cruised DCL twice, said they needed a break from Disney!)

My nephew and his new bride got engaged just before our last cruise in Oct. '08. They married this past October so will be celebrating their first anniversary.

I have been on 3 DCL cruises - all eastern itineraries. Can you tell I like the eastern?

Congratulations on new baby, glad to see some new cruisers...and some seasoned vets.

We are attending the Food and Wine Festival pre-cruise (BCV) and will be at the Residence Inn the night before we sail. It will be our 3rd stay there. We all enjoy our wine and look forward to lots of adult time!!!

Heading down to WDW this Saturday - staying at the GF - NOT running the marathon! Hope to get to know all of you....

We have not had as much snow but this is the worse winter I have seen in years. It is cold and wet!!!! Friday the high is expected to be ZERO!!!! Please stay safe and warm everyone.

I cannot believe how full the ship is!!! My brother is unexpectedly but wonderfully supposed to get full custody of his youngest daughter, and we need to add her to his Cat 10 room and can't. If anyone is unfortunately going to have to pull out of a Cat 10 room, can you please let me know? I'd love to coordinate so that we might be able to pull a spot for this child. We have a 10-room block for our family reunion, so we REALLY don't want to have to leave anyone behind. There aren't any rooms left, according to my TA who must have called Disney five different times and talked with five different CMs the other day. I am amazed at the fullness, to be sure.

I needed to get 1 more person possibly two added to the booking, and we cant because the ship is soooo full!!! For those looking for rooms there is some availability today. We had an upgrade opportunity so our midship Cat 3 is now available. There were also some Cat 5 and Cat 4 rooms available as of today.

Does anyone have any suggestions for shore excursions on the islands we are going to. We have a 9yr old and 10 yr old little girls. We are getting so excited and are ready to go.

I can tell one not to take, The Seaworld Explorer Coral Reef Exploration Tour. at St. Maarten. I took it last year and it was lousy. The bus ride (tour)to and from the boat wasn't bad, but when you get to the boat you go out into the ocean a bit and go down below the boat where the windows are there magnified. All I saw was rocks, plants and some small fish. A scuba diver went down once with a fish in his hand, it's nothing like they show in the book. The tour of St. Maarten 2 flag tour is nice but may be a bit boring for the girls. If they get back the submarine adventure back at St. Thomas that is nice. The tour of St. Johns is beautiful one of the prettiest Islands I've ever seen. Hope this helps a little. Feel free to P.M. if you want, this will be my 4th Eastern cruise.

Last year we did an island tour with Bernard's Tours. It lasted most of the day and we covered the entire island. It was a mix of sightseeing, beach time, and shopping. I would highly recommend them.

I believe we did the butterfly farm at St Maarten and the kids really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful butterflies. It is only half a day which leave time to explore the town. This will only work if the kids are not scared of bugs.
