Does anyone else get the feeling that this cruise is half empty?

i get that feeling. perhaps people are shunning the Magic for the Dream..their loss is our gain i guess. Upgrades galore for us! I'll wager Robin and i will be in the VIP stateroom.:rolleyes1

so how was the cruise Wendy??popcorn::
we waved to you but you didnt see us..or maybe you did.lol

Mikey!!! How are things? Aren't you still in the World? :confused3

we wish.. got back late last nite... yesterday at this time we were watching the zebras at AKV...how depressing...and poor Robin had to go to work today.. let me tell you, i felt really bad watching her pull out of that garage and head to work.....well at least untill i fell back to sleep anyway.;);)

Did anyone try to check-in before 3AM? (I wasn't able to drag myself to the computer until 5AM :surfweb:, so I'm just curious if it could be done earlier.) :confused3

Hate to say this, but I forgot  I woke up at 6 am and bolted out of bed. Fortunately, I got what I wanted.

Do think if I make a clip art design for her, she'll come back? :lmao:

I would!

Does anyone else get the feeling that this cruise is half empty?

I'm wondering Heather, but it looks like the price of our cruise is more expensive than the other October cruises. That usually means that there are more cabins booked, but more of not very much might not be that much. Did that make any sense? :confused3

I think you may be right Mike. Or people may be waiting for the Fantasy. I know some people didn't want to sail on the Dream because they like longer cruises. I'm doing a 5 day double dip on the Dream in March :cloud9:

But I will always love the Magic because she started it all

I waved on our drive home last Tuesday, but Rich made me put both hands back on the steering wheel !!:drive::rolleyes:

The cruise was even better than the one in March - that additional sea day makes all the difference! I can't imagine taking a 3-nt. again. (if it wasn't FREE, of course :thumbsup2) I just CAN'T WAIT to see how wonderful a 7-nt. is! :cloud9::cool1:

Besides relaxing, I was surprised how much we missed during the 3-nt. that we were able to experience on this sailing. Disney also made a bigger deal out of Independence Day than I thought they would - I expected just a small deck party or parade but they did alot more. Donald Duck even rode the Aquaduck for us (They told us that it was the first time since the Inaugural Sailing that he had done it for the passengers. :donald:)

I was mesmerized by the digital porthole. I would just sit on the bed staring at it, waiting for the next character to appear :3dglasses (or until he suggested we go eat.)

Palo is just yum-yum-yummy! It's so worth the weight gain! I think the food is good all over the ship, but I just want to lick the plates clean at that restaurant... or pull a chair up to the Brunch dessert cart... or order two of everything... well, you get the point. :lovestruc

I've uploaded most of my review so far, I just have to upload the overview summary tonight. The link to the trip folder is in my signature. Click on the '07/2011' and it should take you there. :upsidedow

How was the World? Pictures?!? popcorn::

...more of not very much might not be that much.

I understood it but I wouldn't be able to say it three times real fast...

Gee, that always works for me :confused3

I caught part of the documentary "Walt: The Man Behind the Myth" on CNBC last night. Is this the same documentary that is available on Amazon for $120?!? :scared1:

Cabana's are $500 :scared1:

The family cabanas are $500. The cabanas at Serenity Bay are "only" $400. Must be smaller or something. :umbrella:

Yes, yes, I am the brother of Kathy (NJ Princess). As she said, I do not post very often and in fact, haven't been looking at the DIS lately, but she convinced me to "show" myself. And I plan on Mass that Sunday morning. I will be getting in touch with my friend Dorothy, Group Specialist, in September. She has always made it easy. And it has been in the Navigator.

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to attend Mass. Thank you.

So if the ones at Serenity Bay are only $400, does that mean you're 'treating'? :rolleyes1 (See post 'How many parleyers can you fit in a cabana?')

My DW Amy, DD Maddie (5), and myself will be joining our best friends and their kids for the first Disney cruise for the whole lot of us! Can't wait to experience the magic. I'm especially hoping for some nice dark skies while we're at sea. I'm an astronomy nut. So if anyone has tips, advice, suggestions, or wants to meet for stargazing, I'm all ears! Looking forward to getting to know y'all before setting sail.

We are the friends and I finally got around to checking out this board! This is our first Disney Cruise as well and we embark on my birthday and 4 days after my daughter's birthday. How awesome is that?! Myself (Lisa), my dear husband Tony and my two kids, Joshua (6, but he points out he'll be seven 3 weeks later) and Paige (will turn 4 four days before we embark). We are from Illinois and are very excited to be visiting the islands. We look forward to spending time with our great friends and meeting all of you!:cool1:

So, a question for my fellow Parleyers and expert cruisers...

We have linked reservations between 3 groups. Ours and Natalie's reservations were made through DCL but transfered to Dreams. Our other friends made their reservation through DCL and it is still with them. All three cruises are paid in full, however we and Natalie are Silver CC members and our friends are first timers. Our Dreams rep linked the reservations for dining purposes, but I was led to believe that I would also be able to make Palo reservations for us all when the time comes (at 5am next Sunday morning :scared1:)

The trouble is, there is nothing on the DCL website that shows we have linked reservations. Will it all appear, as if by magic, when online booking opens up? Or if it is not showing now, does that mean I won't be able to book Palo for them? I am really confused, we've never booked Palo or anything else before :confused3
