nothing to report on the baby situation here in Oh....anything ready to pop in WI Nancy? :cheer2::upsidedow

Come oooon babies!!popcorn::  I think it's time for a trip to the ski hills for a trip down the moguls... that should do the trick!:jumping1:

We took our daughter down a very bumpy road on Saturday and still nothing! :goodvibes Dr said it should be any day now though. She is sooooo ready to get this over with! :rotfl:

I've heard that horseback riding works well too :lmao:

nothing going on here. daughter in law went to the dr today and he said baby is "still cooking".:rotfl:

We're trying to figure out what we want to do. Is Megan's beach on St John? I think that is the one we want to go to. I know that DCL has an excursion to the one we want to go to. Still not sure about St Maarten, the excursion Nancy described seems like fun. Which island has the tram to the top of the hill?

Trunk Bay on St John was beautiful, the only drawn back is that you don't get a very long time on the beach. Megan's Beach break was good and the sea was very warm.

Told you...it's gonna be Monday for sure.

She'll be almost 2 by that time. She is blind so as of right now she is standing and will walk with a walking toy but isn't walking on her own. Once her leg muscles are strong enough (almost there) they will be giving her an adaptable cane she can use to walk around the house and not bump into walls with her little head. She's a smart baby and is very advanced due to her grandmother (who has custody) not treating her as if she has a disability and great therapy going. So my job that month is keeping her up to date on her exercises and trying to get her on a schedule since she has no clue when days and nights are.

Sorry to hear about your granddaughters condition, but very happy to see you and the other grandmother are working with her. Sounds like the other grandmother is doing a really good job with her on a daily basis. You will enjoy the entire month you have with her I'm sure.

We've done the Eastern twice...this will be our third but never did the beaches so I can't help you there. However, I do believe Mike will be chiming in here soon with his pick. :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

On our first Eastern we did the Island and Explorer Cruise on St Maarten and just loved it. It was a bus tour first of the Dutch side. Then we got on another boat that took us to the French side where we could shop. They served refreshments on the boat (Rum Punch, juices and soda).

On St Thomas we took a taxi tour of the island (did that twice) and just loved it as well.

I'm not sure if Maho Beach is open anymore, I believe they had to close down because of the hurricanes but if it is and you like loud and exciting, it's the place to go.

We also mostly stick with DCL excursions for the islands because I don't want the ship to leave without me if we should be detained for some reason.

Thanks for the excursion suggestions. I'll have to look into them. That video of the planes coming in was spectacular. Is that beach far from where the ship docks?

The trip to St John when we got to St Thomas was definately worth missing St Thomas. It was beautiful. As St Maarten you can do the Under 2 flags tour and then do the beach after, catching the water taxi back to the Magic.

St. John sounds gorgeous. Is it far from St. Thomas? Does DCL go there with excursions. Not too sure about going to another island on our own. We'd be afraid of missing the ship.

Is the St. Maarten tour you talked about short enought to get some beach time in afterwards? That may be a good choice.

Magens Bay is a beautiful beach on St. Thomas. There is also an excursion to Trunk Bay, St. John's which is supposed to be great. St. Thomas has the tram to Paradise Point.

In St Martin we did the Golden Eagle Catamaran and snorkle in 2005 and loved it.:thumbsup2
In 2009 we did the St Thomas Paradise Point Tram that takes you up the hill. Its a great veiw. Very tame excursion but i was having some health issues so it was perfect for us.

I know others did the Trunk Bay beach thing and they loved it!

Now rumor has it that theres a "swimtops" optional beach somewhere.(Disney even warns of it in the brochures), but i'm forbidden by my Sweet Polly from going there.:sad1::sad2:

Thanks for the suggestions. I will definitely have to look into Magen's Bay and Trunk Bay. Also, will have to research the tram. Are the beaches or tram hard to get to from port?

heres the pics you'd get from Paradise Point.

WOW! Looks like that tram takes you right above the port. Nice pic of you and your wife too.

Took a bit, but it looks like I was able to catch up. It was a busy last couple of days, so sorry I couldn't post earlier. Also, sorry for all the posts, but thanks again for all the information. It is greatly appreciated and will give me a good base to start planning from.

the tram ride is just across the street from where the ship docks.

I hope you're right H. A Valentines baby would be awesome.

Maho Beach is quite a ways from the ship. There are no DCL excursions to take you that way either. Some friends of mine went a few years back and they took a private taxi but they were nervous about getting back on time. You don't want to get stuck on the other side of the island when the ship is ready to leave. I do believe Maho Beach is closed though. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

No need to apologize for posting. That's what the thread is here for. Ask any questions you'd like. Someone will answer. :woohoo:

I know it's not Friday, but I could use one of these today:
