Well that should be easy to get to then. How long does it take to go up and back? Can it be done in conjuntion with another tour?

i'm sure you could do another excursion also if you choose to. the tram doesnt take that long. you can stay up there as long as you want plus theres a trail up there to walk if you'd like. theres also a little shop up there.

yeah i noticed those remarks too.
we feel the same way as you about the Magic. we've made some lifelong friends on that ship!

Robin reminded me the other day that the first cruise we ever took (a Disney cruise) was 10 years ago next month. doesnt seem that long ago.

I have to agree with Mike though. Lots of awesome friendships made there and some will last forever (unless they pull one over on me with a package that was shipped minus one important item.)

Robins been promising to make a slide show DVD of our last cruise for months now. We sent a package to Nancy and Chuck earlier this week with a note saying "be careful opening, slideshow dvd is enclosed."
I was laughing for days in anticipation of them opening that package only to find out there was no DVD enclosed.

Maho Beach is quite a ways from the ship. There are no DCL excursions to take you that way either. Some friends of mine went a few years back and they took a private taxi but they were nervous about getting back on time. You don't want to get stuck on the other side of the island when the ship is ready to leave. I do believe Maho Beach is closed though. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

We LOVE questions it gives us a chance to talk about our favorite things

I know what you mean about some of the other threads not being friendly. Just ask Nancy - she started the famous 'refillable soda cup' scandal Too bad. There's so much fun stuff to talk about I'm not sure why people feel they have to find fault with everything, including each other. I pretty much stick to threads for my cruises now. (the thread for my other cruise has turned nasty recently )

So I just discovered a cruise app in the VZ Android app store - It is called Shipmate.There is one for each major cruise line. I downloaded the DCL one. After I choose my cruise sailing, it gives me information about it and a countdown. It's not the Disboards, of course, but its fun to have a cruise app! I'm sure the Apple apps store has something better, but this is certainly a start!

I found it in the Apple App store for a bunch of other cruise lines but not Disney I'll have to check the big app store when I get home (our firewall at work screws it up).

Sounds very cool!

Update: looks like the vendor is waiting for approval from Disney for the iPhone version

I like to just hang out here too... this is where it's at!

Exactly that search tool is not very easy to use, you put in Eastern Carribean and every thread with the work Eastern or Carribean comes up. I've even tried just selecting threads and still have issues with that.
Don't be afraid to ask questions here, we won't bite, and if Dawg tries we all have the squirt bottle to help with that.

I wish the DIS would make one for the droid like they did for the Iphone. I'm trying to figure out what I want to trade my blackberry in for now that verizon has the Iphone, but have heard great things about the droid too.
