This would be a question for 2+ Disney Cruisers. This will be our second time on the Beautiful Disney Magic:) and we were wondering if it gets less exciting or if everytime is like the first?

We are so excited and I personally think the second is harder then the first cruise. The first you are excited but don't really know what to expect and what you have been missing. But this time we all know what to expect and can't hardly contain ourselves. October seems like so far away.

What is the smoothie vote for? We have 2 for strawberry, 2 for chocolate, and one says vanilla. I know the vanilla is not an option but he says vanilla :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just now heading towards our third Disney cruise, and your question got me to thinking. When you are returning to the ship after an excursion, there's a banner saying "Welcome back home". (Or something like that). Well, that's the way I've come to think of these ships. Another home. And like the others (in fact, it is they that I refer to). You develop friendships on DCL that can last a lifetime.

I have to say this will be our 7th Disney cruise and they just keep getting better. :wizard:The Dis has helped us make lifelong friends.:grouphug:
Getting to know people a little before cruising makes it so much more fun because then everywhere you turn on the ship "you run into a friend".:thumbsup2

As far as the Smoothie Debate goes...:rolleyes1... i guess i'll take a little bit of the credit (or blame) for that.:upsidedow
Robin and i got hooked on Strawberry Smoothies on one our first cruises. I think we had about 8 of them on a 4 day cruise.:rotfl: On our 2007 cruise (nicknamed Konked Kruisers) we decided that since there was a wine tasting, beer tasting etc on the ship and we dont drink, that we'd schedule a meet of our own with friends and call it a Strawberry Smoothie meet in Quiet Cove Cafe.:cutie::cloud9:
It was a huge success so we organized a similar meet on our 2009 cruise (nicknamed BOB for bash on the boat) It was here that Robin was turned on to the "the dark side of smoothies" by Heathers husband Rick.:cool2::littleangel: He'd comment that "the force is strong in Robin".
Since then its been kind of a running joke about the battle of smoothies.
I think pictures of our smoothie meets are on our trip reports at the bottom of our signatures.:surfweb:

Rick was good at turning people to the dark side....he turned Sean on to TimTams....everytime we are in Target Sean grabs a pack now and I can swear I can hear Rick laughing at me when I get onto him about buying them.

I think each cruise gets more and more exciting! :yay: The first couple of Disney cruises we took we didn't know about the DIS, so we didn't know anyone ahead of time, but we still had a blast. When we took the Member Cruise in 2008, I had been posting on the thread for about 6 months before the cruise and it was even more fun when we got to meet everyone in person! :grouphug: We've made cruise buddies that will be friends for life - the circle keeps getting wider.

I get teary every time I see The Magic or The Wonder waiting for me at the port :goodvibes I cried my eyes out when The Wonder left Port Canaveral for the last time, even though I will see her again in April in LA. :confused3

Just remember that every cruise is a little different so everything may not happen exactly the way it did the first time. But I'm sure you'll have lots of new experiences to add to your cruise memories. And you are cruising with a very crazy bunch of DISers! :dance3:

I have to agree it gets better. 2007 we took our 3rd DCL cruise, and it was the start of something special. We met some really great friends from the DIS on that cruise that we had been talking too here on these boards. We are still cruising together. Even when one of us can't go we all continue to communicate. So I have to say that the communication and relationships we have formed on this board is what has made our DCL cruising so much more fun and special.

I have to say this will be our 7th Disney cruise and they just keep getting better. :wizard:The Dis has helped us make lifelong friends.:grouphug:

Well said everyone. I get so teary eyed when I see the ships and the thought to meeting up with old and new friends again. You experience something new every time.

Crystal, they just get better and better with every cruise. We've enjoyed all three of our cruises and all for different reasons but the friendships made along the way are priceless!

OK girls get them score cards ready. Tomorrow night I will be posting a pic of our local acting Sgt in his Class A uniform. He has to go to tomorrows promotion ceremony, they will be announcing his name as an acting Sgt. Memo he received says he should be formally promoted in March (k not happy about this one they said February now March, like my sister said hurry up and wait) So we are thinking either the 4th (the weekend before I leave for WDW) OR the 18th (the weekend after I get back) either way it seems like we've been waiting forever!!!! (2 years seems like a lifetime!)
