I enjoyed that it was relaxing and I could do what I wanted, no stress. The ships are beautiful and I also liked just walking around discovering things, and 'bumping' into characters here and there. If you like casinos and more action oriented onboard activities than I would say you will be disappointed. Can't talk my friends into DCL because of this, they want rock climbing walls and ziplines, and the casino is a must for them. It really depends on what you are looking for from a cruise vacation.![]()
I agree. The casino atmosphere is the furthest thing from our interests, and Disney NOT having a casino is a real plus for us. We also enjoy the no stress atmosphere with Disney music and subtle themes. We have not been on any of the huge ships that have the rock climbing and ziplines, but probably will try one of them some day just to see what they are like; but to be honest, the hugeness of those ships with the balconies overlooking the parks and shopping areas in the middle of the ship is somewhat of a turnoff. The Dream and Fantasy are almost too big for us. We really like the size and luxury of the Wonder (and I am sure the Magic, though this will be our first Magic cruise). We were on an older, smaller RCI ship one time but it was nothing like the Wonder in terms of the magnificent look or relaxing atmosphere.
