10-21-12 Dream!!!

Are there any families that are participating in the FE that don't celebrate Halloween? I may (or may not -lol) be doing some Halloween themed goodies and it dawned on me that Halloween is a holiday not everyone celebrates. So... If you are in the FE group and don't then let me know (here or by PM) and I'll make sure to switch your goodies. :). Now back to my Labor Day of crafting for the FE!!!!

Oh wow, yeah.. hoping to find that out myself.. I already started on the FE gifts and the majority of what I'm doing is kind of Halloween themed lol

If you could share if you get some pm's that'd come in handy :-)

We definitely CELEBRATE halloween! :cool1: Im a huge halloween freak. haha every time i see anything halloween in the stores i feel like i kid in a candy store haha.

I'm also debating pick-up time from WDW. I think I'm going to go with 10, in the hopes that we won't spend too much time waiting in the terminal! Who are you all using? I haven't booked yet, but need a limo for 6, with round trip service.

good thing you asked this - i just went to check my confirmation email and i realize that i booked with a different company than i thought i did..

i think i'll have to change companies...

i think we're being picked up from WDW at 10:00....
maybe i should advance it to 9:30?
if they pick us up at 10, i guess we'll get there at 11...
maybe i should say 9:30 to get us there at 10:30?

what do you think?

i would say a 930 pickup would be good. Youd get there by 1030 or so. and can enjoy the port as well has not having really any lines to wait in to do the check in or deal with traffic to get to the ship since they are not the only ship there.

When we go with a limo or van service we always go with sir randolph They are excellent to work with and very friendly and prompt. Plus if you want a theme they can do that too.

Us, too! We trick or treat at least 3 times every year (Not So Scary, our town's Halloween festival, and of course our neighborhood, and any other events I can find!). By the time the actual holiday rolls around I never have to buy candy because I just recycle what we have from all the pre-trick-or-treating. Lol!

Good point, I wouldn't have even thought about this!! .... Our family celebrates Halloween but we don't do evil monsters, witches, blood/gore etc. Pumpkins, bats, spiders, friendly ghosts/monsters wouldn't bother us. :)

Aesome.. the majority of my FE stuff isn't consisting of anything evil like.. very kid friendly and funny stuff :) Mostly spiders and ghosties.. maybe some pumpkin like things .. haven't decided quite yet on everything! :stir:

Awesome! Me too. I do Mickey's not so scary. then we go with my friend and her kids. we do haunted hayrides in my neighborhood and anything else halloween i can find haha

i'm not participating in FE - i figured it would be too difficult for everyone to get gifts to us in concierge.

No problem on Halloween for us. We will be doing the Mickey's Not So Scary on the 25th after we disembark. Not sure we do costumes for that though.

I have booked my flights and will be making the 15 hour 45 minute flight from Dubai to Atlanta in Economy Comfort. It was only an extra $70 and I figured any advantage I could get would be beneficial.

Anybody staing in DVC on Saturday night considering going to Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower on Saturday the 20th to watch the MK fireworks? I think I will take my parents to experience that.

i thought only BLT owners were permitted up there..

turns out i'm flying delta too - but economy comfort was too expensive on mine - $125 each way....way too much...so i'll rough it in economy..
my mom's flying business....on one of the flights, it's the regular business class seats they've had for years (actually a former NWA plane that's very nice)....on the way back , she'll have the brand new delta suites that are really nice...so that's good....but there was just no way i was going to pay four times the price of economy to fly business...
i have very short legs, so it's really no big deal for me in regular economy...

Normally yes, but a trial was run this summer and has now been extended. Here is the first paragraph from the announcement on the DVC Member website:

The popularity of a special perk originally slated to end on Aug. 25 has prompted its extension! From now through Dec. 29, 2012, Disney Vacation Club® Members staying at any Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at the Walt Disney World® Resort (whether they booked with vacation points or cash) may enjoy complimentary access to one of the vacation kingdom's most exclusive spaces: the Top of the World Lounge atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

There are more details on how to gain access, etc. on the website.

So, I will take advantage of the opportunity.

absolutely!!! i've heard it's fabulous up there!!!! :thumbsup2

i was just looking at the baggage allowance in economy....one suitcase...
how do they think anyone can travel internationally with only one 23 kilo suitcase?
good thing my mom is entitled to 3 - i'll put one of mine with her...

i just figured out that for my one way flight inside the US i should buy first class - it's only $100 more, but i'll get 2 suitcases for free....so after the suitcases, it's only $40 more to fly first class from DTW to MCO on the day i have to fly....no brainer....

ok people, i'm expecting all of you to upgrade to concierge at the port....
i want our roll call to fill concierge not the florida residents (or i'll go insane)...

they just released the florida resident rates for our cruise and, well, those people are going to be sailing for free....so for sure they're going to go for those upgrades at the port...

the cost of a cat 5A is $85/person/night

so the total cost of a cat 5A for two people on our cruise is $680.
That's the total cost. Not per person.
for florida residents that is.

Total cost in cat 5A is $680 for florida residents on our cruise.

from cat 5A the upgrade to concierge is a few hundred dollars.
if you were paying only $680, wouldn't you upgrade to concierge?

so all of you who are getting to the port early - get yourselves over to the upgrade desk and go for concierge before the florida residents!!!!

i'll really lose my mind if i know there is someone in a one bedroom who only paid a total of only $1500 to be there. i will go insane. insane i tell you. insane. You have to save my sanity and upgrade!!!! ;)

and think how easy FE will be if we're all in concierge together!!!! :)
