10-21-12 Dream!!!

I happen to have two extra "girl" goodies and one grown-up goodie so I can add you in. You can thank my complete inability to remember my shopping list when I am actually going to the store. I always end up guestimating. Lol! It drives dh crazy!
How perfect for us I guess, since we have 2 girls, LOL!!

Again, we don't have our room numbers yet, but if you want to PM me your stateroom#, I will add you to our list.

Thanks to those that have added us to your FE lists!! I've got room for more, if you have room for me.

Awesome, we don't have our room numbers yet, since we just booked on Saturday, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.

For now, I can tell you the following:
Room #1:
Amy & Chris (DH)
Room #2:
Patti (MIL), Emily (DD-11), Madison (DD-8)

I will put you on our list. When you have 10 posts, go ahead and send me a PM with your room numbers.

Amy

Okay! This should make my 10th post so I will PM you shortly!

well, i could do an FE of 1 - but it would be difficult for you to get your FE gift to us - especially since i won't have an FE hanging on my door!!

i was originally scheduled to be on the podcast cruise this past june - i was going by myself...but then the conference that i attend with my mom and sister was moved from june to October, so i moved my reservation from june to october and added in my mom and sister...

so anyway, i was planning on participating in FE on the podcast cruise (i even had my gift all planned)....but i'm being a party pooper on this cruise! ;)

Just got off the Fantasy Saturday. It was AWESOME!!!! Got to see friends who work on the ship. and relax catch up on movies and reading and celebrating me and my mom's birthday. had great mommy daughter time too. Now the count down begins haha.

i don't know how late your adult drinking buddies is going to last each night, but i know i'm at least going to try to get to evolution every night - though i don't know if we'll manage to find a place to sit...
but once whatever's going on in evolution is over, i'm more than happy to go anywhere :)

Late dining for me! We prefer the late dining. Less children at both the meal and at the show.

i prefer late dining, but we'll be dining early this cruise (my sister's preference)...
as for the shows, when we ate late, our early shows seemed jammed-packed with kiddies...maybe the late show has more, but the early show had plenty!!!

Thanks for the welcome from everyone! I have never booked this last minute and I'm definitely feeling out of place. We always book WAY out, so I've always been in the planning stage.

Anyway, I know that the FE signup is closed, but we have never not participated in the FEs, so I know that my kids will be disappointed. So, if anyone has any extras, I am willing to exchange with you. Send me a PM. (I do not want to put anyone out though, so if it's an inconvenience, just ignore my babbling).

Amy

I'm willing to exchange. This is my first time doing it... So I hope u like the gift... But I will completely drop one off at ur room!! :).

Did my preliminary packing after making a list of the bare minimum I could make it through the 2 weeks while needing both business and vacation wear. I have been concerned about the airlines restrictions especially since I am flying on two different airlines booked separately.

To my surprise my minimum comes in at just over half of my allotted weight limit of 30 kg for the first airline and all fits in 1 bag which is 1/2 of my allowance on the other airline......whoohoo! I can pack some more things and not feel completely limited!

you must be flying business class!!! 30 kg is long gone from economy class...
and delta only permits one bag (at 22 kg) for international steerage.... (same as all the other airlines)..
oh - i just figured it out...maybe you're a delta frequent flyer and get an extra suitcase with a higher weight limit...

my mom will be in business and i'll be in economy comfort (which has the same luggage limits as regular cattle class)....
but my mom is delta platinum so she gets 3 suitcases instead of 2 (at 33 kg or whatever it is)....so i'll put one of my two suitcases in her allotment...
once i get to detroit, i'll leave my second suitcase with her and travel down to orlando with just one....

I wish I was flying in Business.

Economy on Emirates from Geneva to Dubai which has the 30 kg allowance for Economy.....one of the reasons I chose to fly this airline, the other being it was the only direct flight.

Then on Delta from Dubai to Atlanta to Orlando. I upgraded to Economy Comfort since the first leg is nearly 16 hours. But I have Sky Team Elite Plus status with Flying Blue (AirFrance/KLM) which allows me the second bag.

Did my homework and chose wisely.....

are you on one of the A380s? those are crazy big planes!!

i'll be on KLM for the first leg of our trip, Tel Aviv to Amsterdam....terrible plane, but the crew is very nice....
Then Delta from Amsterdam to Detroit....nice plane/terrible crew
Then Delta from Detroit to Orlando... terrible plane/terrible crew ;)

it's Delta because that's pretty much the only way to fly into or out of Detroit (where i'm originally from and where my family still lives)..
Delta is so bad, it's made people long for the return of Northworst....quite an accomplishment!!

as for emirates, a friend of mine flew emirates from the UK to Australia in first class - he said it was just this side of heaven :)
