i just have one question - who would shower on a plane????
i mean, there you are nekkid, and the plane hits massive turbulence and well.....

That is amazing!!! My iPad froze when it got to the shower - I'll have to go watch the rest later. Someday, I want to do that!!!

Is everyone from the group signed up for the early dining?? :rolleyes1 Am I the only one going to late dining?? lol

We are late dining, too! We are all total night owls so it is perfect for us. :)

Since we just booked, we're on late dining, which would be fine for us, since we cruised on late dining our last 2 cruises. But, since we're sailing with 2 diabetics that have strict schedules, they really need to be on early seating. So, we are going to have to try to see if we can change as soon as we board.

Disney Dream Drinking Buddies

Here is a proposed gathering schedule. This will allow for a tour of all the main venues of the Dream. The early time is between dinner services so we can meet for a pre-show/pre-dinner drink. And then the evening is an adult only gathering in the District. All welcome to any or all gatherings. No RSVP required. Let me know what you think. Christopher

Sunday October 21

07 45 PM Bon Voyage Deck 3, Midship
10 45 PM Skyline Deck 4, Aft

Monday October 22

07 45 PM District Lounge Deck 4, Aft
10 45 PM Pink Deck 4 Aft

Tuesday October 23 Pirate Night Activities on Decks 11 & 12

08 15 PM Cove Café Deck 11, Forward
11 00 PM Meridian Deck 12, Aft

Wednesday October 24

07 45 PM Bon Voyage Deck 3, Midship
10 45 PM 687 Deck 4, Aft

Activities/dancing in Evolution Deck 4, Aft each night are an option following the evening gatherings.

I think this is great.. and you are awesome for arranging this stuff! I am going to do my best to make it! I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of gal. I am just so glad my friend told me about this forum! I love meeting new people!

Hey Christopher, are we going to get some kind of map of where everyone's rooms are for the FE? I've never been on one of the ships so I am kinda concerned amputation getting lost LOL.. :)

We were on late dining, but I called and changed it to First dining to try something new. However I'm nervous I should of kept late...cause I enjoyed the fact that they would come get the kids!!

Did you tell DCL you have that issue? I would have thought they already would move you for medical reasons

Yes, yes. I have it prepared and will distribute it at the gathering on Embarkation Day.....If for some reason you do not make it to that meet, I will place it behind the fish at your Stateroom door.

Christopher

Ok This is the last thing that I will try to organize before the sailing.

There has been a lot of talk on the FB group about how people wish they knew more about the stateroom category they were booking when they were making the decision to book their sailing.

If we can get enough people interested and enough different stateroom categories represented, perhaps we could arrange stateroom crawl where we as a group BRIEFLY visit each other's cabins for a BRIEF and UNOBTRUSIVE tour.

This might be an activity for during the Sea Day and could aid people in choosing their stateroom for the next trip.

What do people think? If there is interest we can start a sign up via PM or email.

i think that could be fun and very interesting - seeing the various types of staterooms on the ship. i would think that with a group as large as ours, we must have most of the categories represented.

of course, coordinating a time might be difficult.
And i'm not sure how we do it. I mean, if i'm out crawling, how do i let you into my room to see it?

The group would have to crawl together as a unit and make a tour. That way you don't let anyone who comes knocking at your door into the room. Safety first!

that makes sense!
well, i'd be interested - don't know if my sister and/or mom would, but i suppose if the time works, i could park them somewhere for the duration. :)

we do - i think it's at 3:15 on deck 13 forward somewhere...

Thanks. We'll try to keep our eyes peeled for the location. Don't know the dream layout so well still.
DW wants to watch Dumbo pre cruise, to prepare for a visit to Pink before dinner one night.
Anybody else thinking of the Castaway Cay 5k?

What does Dumbo have to do with pink?

No 5k for me. It looks fun, though, if you like to run! :/

:dance3:SO excited!!:dance3:

After only 3 days, we already have a room assignment AND...

We were upgraded to 2 connecting cat 4As. LOTS of extra space!!

Hubby may do the 5K. I would love to, but have been having hip problems. Plus one of us has to watch the munchkins (one is nursery age and my understanding is there is no option for them on CC.)

Pink has touched of inspiration from the Pink Elephants scene in Dumbo, all the pink bubbles and even little elephants.

I would LOVE to do the 5K, it is currently my goal. I don't think I am ready this cruise - I am however signing up for the one at the Park in Jan.

I am not exactly healthy.. I am on my way there. I started this year a LOT heavier than I am now. I have lost more than 50lbs since Jan and I am on the road to losing more. (as long as I keep up this workout every day thing lol)

But doing a 5 K... boy oh boy I would be so happy!:cool1:

Congratulations on the weight loss!!
I've lost 40 pounds since the beginning of May. I have a lot more where that came from but I feel a LOT better!!!
My weight loss started with my accident - so it was sort of a silver lining. Something very good came out of something very bad!!
