10/17- DISERS DO MNSSHP List

I was wondering where this thread went and if we are still having the meet? Whatever happened to the HM at 11:00? We're up if you are! BTW, we will be at Pop like many others of you, but it will just me and the DH this time! Tried to split the ressie to spend the last half of the trip at the Poly, but no AP rates for there or the CR. We really like the Pop, but by the end of the trip the convenience of the Poly and monorail begins to becon us! Oh, well lots more money to spend on shopping!

Kala, There weren't any takers on the 11pm HM Ride. It would be fine with me but in the DOOM buggies, it's hard to see other people. It might be fun to do something later that the group can do - like a Pirates ride. Those boats could probably seat 15-20.

Or maybe meet up at one of the food courts for a sit and chat.

Will probably not plan a 2nd meet since I know it's hard to commit to when you don't want to miss a minute touring and enjoying the party.

Seems like a lot of us staying at POP however. There's always separate meets there at the Food Court or Bar.

Hi everyone...I just got back from WDW and had planned a DIS meet to watch SPectro and we had a great time saying HI and chit chatting. I brought glow sticks to share and gave them to everyone and the characters in the parade noticed all of us and pointed to the kids who were glowing.

It is always nice to put a face with a name..so I hope everyone gets together to ride Splash at this meet. I'm sure it will be fun.

Glad to be home but can't wait to go back...

Hi everyone...

We were SO excited to meet everyone on SM, but I just realized that our PS for LTT is at 6:55! There is NO way we'll be seated, fed, and walk to SM by 7:45

And we planned to check out the later parade...sigh... well...we'll have our lime green and Dis buttons...I hope I get to meet some of you!!!

SHARON, b/c of our PS at LTT, I don't think we'll be able to help w/ taking any photos...but we will definetly stop anyone w/ Lime Green on (w/ or w/out costumes) and ask to take a pic...and we'll posted it on our site and email it to whomever.

QJ411, Will miss you on splash but hopefully catch up somewhere else. With meeting for 8pm Splash ride, we'll see the 2nd parade too. Probably most others too.

Are there folks that want to meet to enjoy the parade together? Probably have more time to chitchat since we'll all need to secure viewing real estate. Anyone want to suggest a good parade spot and meet there?

My husband and I will also be there on the 17th. This will be our first MNSSHP. We have reservations at LTT at 4:55. We finally decided to dress up and go with a suggestion I received on the MNSSHP post and be a football player (me, and more specifically Damien Rhodes who is a receiver/running back for Syracuse University) and coach (husband, coach Pasquiloni- Syracuse's coach that the whole city thinks should be fired due to their inability to win any big games).

Question, green buttons? What is everyone talking about?

I can't believe that we are leaving in just 2 1/2 weeks! YEAH!

Uhhh...I have a question...I finally talked DH into dressing up for MNSSHP...but he said he'll dress up as a "escaped mental patien" He was gonna put on white makeup to look pale and spray his hair a "grey/white" color and wear a hospital gown (over his t-shirt and shorts)...

Do you guys think it's a bit much? I hope it doesn't offend anyone! Too graphic for WDW? I don't see why he can't just be a pirate or Donald Duck or something...sigh....

So if you think that's an ok costume...and if you see a silly man in a hospital gown...please don't run away from us...he's really not that crazy....

I know who those two people are are yes I agree that the whole city whats the coach gone. I live in SYR and work in Carousel Center (mall). I feel bad for coach P and his family...some of the blame has to go to the recriuting staff.

But alot of people thought coach Boeheim should of been fired long ago and look what he and the team did two years ago. I can not wait to see G-MAC and HAK back in action.

I hope you guys have a great time at the MNSSHP that night.

We're planning on meeting at 7:45 at the BTMRR Fastpass Machines for meet and photos and then we'll head to Splash for an 8PM Diser's Do Splash ride.

Hey gang, It's getting CLOSE! Can't believe we're 13 days away. Guess it's time to put the suitcases out and start throwing things in.

Everyone got their dinner plans made? Costumes lined up? DD and I aren't really dressing but will be wearing Nightmare Before Christmas shirts. And DD wants a Sandy Claws hat.

I'll have paper and pin there to get everyone's e-mail address (or you can send it to me now via PM or E mail) and will try sending out group photo.

DD can't wait to wake up in Disney. Me either!

Everyone needs to wish on a star for good weather, safe trips and no Hurricanes!

DH and I will be there (though I'd ordered tix for the 20th - good thing I finally took them off the paper and checked) in our lime green t-shirts.

Here's what a big dork I am - I ordered custom shirts from www.cafepress.com and when I got them I was so excited I ran to DH and said "Look! Right here .. Mickey's Not ...hunh?" I'd uploaded type that read MNNSHP! I coulda died.

I pretty much fixed it with my on iron-on patch but I'm mortified to the core.

Feel free to make fun of me when we meet!

Don't know where we're eating yet. Will probably not go into the park until 8 - ish and we're staying at SSR. I'm amazed how many New Yorkers will be there. Yay! Can't wait!

I can't believe how close we're getting!!! No, I haven't packed yet... and no, I haven't gotten a costume for DH and I yet...

Soon, we will....knowing us, probably a day or two before our trip, we'll drive around the entire city looking for a costume...

I'm still bummed that we won't be able to make it to the Splash Mt. meet! But I'd love to join you guys for the 2nd parade, where shall we meet at?

Sharon, I will look for you and your DD, can't wait to meet everyone! Also, Sharon once we take the photos, if you need the space, you can store it on our site for everyone to view.

Yeah, I think he's finally convinced that being a mental patient wouldn't fly very at WDW! But we're gonna go costume hunting tonight after work, wish us luck on finding something!

We wil be there too from the 15th til the 20th. We just booked this less then a week ago, so I couldn't get LTT before the party. We will be at Pop Century. I can't wait!
