DH and I are going alone.. we just re-booked it after cancelling. (Long story: We booked, then we were matched to adopt, so we cancelled, and then our adoption fell through and we decided we wanted to rebook so we did.. SIGH!)

We REALLY wanted a breakfast at Crystal Palace so we could get early entry to MK...

But this is all that was available for the whole week we are going to be there.

I took it, but now I wonder, is it going to be worth it? (This would be an out of pocket meal. We are on the quick service plan...)

I love Crystal Palace for breakfast , but after our trip last Oct on the QSDP I decided that it was just not worth it to pay OOP again.( we did have breakfast there & got in before the park opened)
If I was traveling with children I might think differently about it, but It is just DH & I.

Hi,

I was at the Crystal Palace in January ( with an 820am ADR which was great as by the time I had finished ( c 905am the rope drop had just happened so there were minimal queues.)

I would probably not do a 1020 breakfast as I would feel it was taking up too much of the early morning touring time.

Regards

TBS

Crystal Palace breakfast is probably my dh's favorite meal of the whole trip.... and oddly he is not a big breakfast eater..... I tease that he secretly just loves eating with Pooh Bear! :rotfl2:. We did "brunch" there on our last trip. The park opened at 8, so we made it in time for RD, got in 2 hours of low crowd times, then had a nice meal, and didn't have to worry about the lunch crowds.

so would that time be breakfast, brunch or lunch? would it be a turnover time? just wondering what the food would be. myself, i don't thing the cp is worth the money. i posted a question about it a few days ago. if it was just me and dh we would not be going but ds and dgd are going with us and he really wants to go here so its pretty much a done deal. i find the food only so so. now thats mo and i'm sure you will have others who disagree but it is expensive for a just okay buffet. i'm pretty sure the cost is in place becasue you get to see pooh and friends. if they don't excite you save your money and find another place to eat.
again, just my opinion.

It is worth it. You can do a quick run through FantasyLand and then have a nice sit down breakfast. Seeing the park open is a great experience.

That is our prefered time to eat at CP. We enjoy the rope drop show, tour fantasyland for an hour with no waits and then eat at CP. The food has always been fresh and we have never felt rushed.

Totally worth it, if only to get your fill of Pooh Ears. OMG, I'm hungry just thinking about them!

We did early morning CP reservations last time, and while we were there we decided that next time we'll get the last possible breakfast reservations instead, going to the park early, getting a bunch of things done, then having a nice breakfast, then leisurely doing the rest of the park (and using any fast passes you were able to grab before breakfast)

Pooh Ears. Always worth it.
