10/15/2011 - Taking the West by Magic!

I understand that Palo is booked , does anyone know if they leave some spots available for walk ins that we can reserve when we get on the ship? If anyone has a ressie for an extra 2, we would love to join you
Thanks Val & Mike

Run, don't walk, to your cruise planning page on the Disney Cruise Line website. There are still two openings for Palo Dinner, one each on the first and last nights of the cruise.

As for brunches? No openings there that I see, but I hear that they leave some to give out on the day of sail. In addition, I am trying to get a reservation for 12-14 in Palo's Private Room. We have 11 on board right now, as soon as we get the right number of guests I will formally submit our request. We won't know sooner than September 15 if we are lucky enough to be chosen.

:love::love::love::love::love:

I have seen a similar video, but it still strikes me the same! I can't wait to hear it in person--assuming the other ships are silly enough to challenge the Magic!

We haven't ever had any horn battles while I've been on board, but I've got my fingers crossed!

The openings must be gone,or... Im not going to the correct place.

Palo brunch is $20/person. If you want to join the group, I just need your cruise reservation # so I can add it to the info being sent to DCL. I will send you my e-mail since you can't PM until you have made 10 posts here.

Hi. I just booked this cruise This AM! for myself & my hubby. We had DVC points to use up, so what better way to use them! This will be my 3rd tme on the Magic & Mike's 2nd. We liver in St Catharines, Ontario, Canada. We have cruised quite a few times on other lines, catching up for lost time! We just met 6 yrs ago & will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary on the cruise. I understand that Palo is booked , does anyone know if they leave some spots available for walk ins that we can reserve when we get on the ship? Hello :wave2: and :welcome: 3rd times a charm :cutie:

Hey we're on page 38 - aint that great!! (ok my teacher friends - i know aint - aint a word :rotfl: use isnt but that just don't rhyme!)

Yeah, me too! :cutie:

Did you notice how on this and other similar utube videos the guests on the other cruise ships are in awe of the Disney ships? I can't imagine being on one of the other ships looking at the Disney ship. Would make me want to jump and swim!!!

I'm also an old classic DCL ship look girl. I haven't sailed the Dream, and I'm sure it's nice and very cool, I just love how the old ships look, the lines, how they don't look completely top heavy, just lovely! And in just under 2 months, we'll be the envy of all the other cruisers in the Western Carribbean!!!!! :3dglasses:woohoo:

I have been in this situation...it's not pretty :sad1: Years ago when we did our first cruises (b4 kids) we stayed away from Disney thinking it was more for the kids and families...boy were we wrong!!! It's been years since we've cruised, but once I saw the Wonder, I knew where my (future) loyalities would be. It was murder looking at Goofy hanging off the back end of the ship and standing on the deck of a Carnival ship...never again! :sad2:

Thankfully, it's not something we have to worry about in October!!!

Me, too! I love Art Deco, so I know I will love this ship inside and out! Another of the interesting things in the youtube videos that I have seen is the comments by folks on the Disney ships (and sometimes the other ships) about how ugly some of the non-Disney vessels are. "It looks like a floating milk carton." When the Wonder and a blocky, all-white, mega-ship were tied up alongside, "There is the Wonder and the box it came in." :rotfl:

I know I'm probably the ONLY one that does not have passports! Im a cheapskate and that is why...but now I'm a little worried and think I need to get them...do you think it is too late?
You can see the processing times on the State Department web site. Right now it says:
ROUTINE SERVICE
As of ( Wednesday August 17, 2011 ), we are processing routine applications in approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of application.

EXPEDITED SERVICE

As of ( Wednesday August 17, 2011 ), we are processing requests for expedited service in about 2-3 weeks door-to-door, when overnight delivery is requested and paid for both ways (to and from the passport agency).

:scared1: woman overboard - I can hear the news coverage now " Woman goes overboard for a Disney Cruise"

Cayley did you notice that you were already over your 10 post mark!!

Thanks...still wavering, especially since my husband is still in AZ and I don't know when he is coming home to be able to start his passport processes. I'll keep looking into the website. Now I just have to figure out how to get my kids a passport without telling them the secret! lol:love:
