Tracy: Glad to have company on Deck 6...We can share the WINE :cool1: ! Mary was right across from me last cruise. Mary: Are you in the same room?
Have a great weekend folks!
Laura :wave2:

As we use our room for sleeping, showering, and changing only, we don't care where it is. We mainly chose Deck 2 for the split bathroom, which helps speeding things up in the evening and in the morning considerably. And during last year's cruise in the inside stateroom we felt kind of disoriented in the morning, because we didn't have a clue what time it was when we woke up, so we wanted to have a window. We never used the verandah much during the two cruises in a Cat 7 with Navigator's Verandah, so Deck 2 was the best choice.
And knowing that so many of our friends are in the vicinity is the icing on the cake :wave2: :grouphug: :wave2:

Summer has eventually arrived over here. We had a short glimpse of it in May, but then it got cold again. Today we had 26°C/79F°, tomorrow the forescast predicts 31°/C/88°F, and Sunday it shall even be 33°/91°.
And it was HHH today ;) (Thanks for the explanation, Michele :wave2: )
We did 6 miles on the treadmill today and nearly melted, our gym only has a/c in the three aerobic/spinning rooms, but the cardio and weight areas are only ventilated. We like it that way as we're there to sweat, but today the humidity was very high. Tomorrow we're having a break from the gym as we worked out consecutively for seven days: We ran 32 mike this week, pumped Iron for about 3.5 hours, and played two hours of Badminton, so it's time to rest a bit.

Having Ringo Starr doing Karaoke with us would be great, he was the funniest guy of the Fab Four anyway.

Bush Sr. was over here today -the only Bush we have warm feelings for ;) -and received an award together with Michael Gorbachev and Helmut Kohl for their role in the German Reunification. I once read a thread on the Boards about him having cruised with DCL. I would have loved to be on that cruise to thank him personally for his generous help in reuniting our country. The posters who cruised with him said, that although he was accompanied by several Secret Service Agents, he was very open towards conversations with the other cruisers.

MaryJo and Sarah, Have a great trip.
Jeanne, Welcome back. Mortor boards with Mickey ears! How cute is that?

I am on VACATION!!! :cool1: Getting everything packed for our trip to DC tomorrow. Our flight leaves at 6 AM so we plan on being at the airport at 5am. Arriving in DC before noon.
Our White House Tour had to be changed to Thursday, so Rosemary and Rich will not be able to make it. :guilty: But we hope to catch up with them for some fun on Friday.

Lots to do. :p

Have a great time in DC Ave -- also Rosemary and Rich.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I guess it's a day for painting! I was up at 630 and out the door by 7 to start sealing the deck. Well, I walked out in a tank top and shorts and said, IT'S COLD! :cold: When I did, I could see my breath! Hhhhmmm....check the stain can...must be between 50 and 95F to stain. Back to check weather.com....it's 49! Well, I waited an hour and then started! Last year it took me 12 hours to do the deck. Today, it only took me 5. I have to admit, I wasn't as neat as I was before, plus this is a coating over a coat, so maybe it wasn't sucking in as much? I do need to do a second coat, but that will wait until after vacation! Just as I was finishing, my neighbor called and asked us to swim at her home, so we just got back from 3 hours of swimming! We are ALL tired! However, the skies have darkened and it looks like it could rain....and my deck isn't dry enough yet! There was only a 20% chance of rain, and with the cooler temps, I thought this was a good day to do this! Let's hope it won't rain!
Well, off to shower and make hamburgers for dinner! Have a good night ya'll!

We are also on Deck 7...someone is is next to us..but I can't remember who... :confused3

Could it be us? We're 7120. Seems to me there will be enough people on the nosebleed decks to create a little chaos of our own.

He he he...I had to go and look at the deck plans to see which rooms were ours! :earseek: We are in 7504 and 7506 ajoining. I remember someone posting they were in 7508, I just can't remember who! Guess I better re-read the Cruisetoberfest list again! :grouphug:

Good morning all:wave: Hope that the twins have a great time in Washington.

It makes no difference which deck anyone is on as long as their friends are on the ship it will be a magical time.

Fiona hope that your work lightens up a little so that you can catch your breath. Jim heal thyself.

Have fun in Washington, Folks :wave2:

We are also getting prepared for our trip to Vienna:
-I already printed the timetables for the public transport from/to Schwechat Airport (Vienna International)
-We made a list of attractions we want to see
-We made a list of treats we want to eat (Vienna is famous for lots of special treats)
-We have reserved seats on the highspeed-train to Cologne

In two weeks at this time we will already be there :Pinkbounc  :bounce:

Tonight and tomorrow night we'll be 'in the USA' : This weekend's Formula One Race is taking place at the Indanapolis International Speedway. We hope the Schumi's (That's Michael Schumacher's nickname over here) Ferrari will be good enough to kick some *** :teeth: , but I' think Mercedes-Benz will win the race.

I had to finally dig out the list to see what room I am in. We are in a navigator stateroom Room 6636. That is one up from where I was before. The list I found has both winotracey and hygeine 99 in the same room 6634. So you two can fight over who my neighbor is.

Nancy

Watched a behind the scenes video on food network about Walt Disney World today and how they prepare all the food.

Spent a good portion of the day working on the pool. My son and Kathy's son in law, removed the cover and in the process dumped a ton of rotten leaves in. I have been scooping out leaves all day.

Happy fathers day tomorrow to all the dad's, whether with 2 legged kids or 4 legged. Both are the same as they won't listen to you. :rotfl:

Have a safe trip to Vienna, Eric and Anja. Mike

Laura, we are on deck 6 again in 6050 (one room away from 04 cruise)
Aside from the "magnet thief" we loved the location of our cabin!! :cool1:

Sister Ave and her family are in Washington by now :goodvibes wish I was with them :guilty: but starting a new job just 2 months ago, taking a vaction wasn't possible.

You're correct, Nancy :rotfl: I'll check that.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads.

Weather has turned cold here for the weekend although it's supposed to warm up on Monday (figures). We left the ballgame early on Friday night because we didn't take our hoodies. Yesterday we took them and definately needed them.

Work will be busy now until the end of summer and then will have a short lull and then be busy again all fall. Winter is the dead time. Every year I forget how busy it is until it hits although forgetting might be a good thing. The one good thing about being busy is that I can't make the annual firm golf tournament. I'm really crushed about this but I'll try and cope. :rotfl:

Off to the Jays game this afternoon.

Fiona

Happy B'Day Jenn !!!!!!!!
