.......Kim...for us newbies, can you better explain cookie night? Thanks!
Yes! I agree with winotracy: "OOOOHHHH Cookie Night!!!"

Michelle - Cookie Night can NOT be explained. It MUST be experienced!!!

Rich and I were just talking about CN the other day, wondering if we were worthy enough for a repeat invite. I will have to inform him of the date and see what's what with us as far as attending!!! :D

Hi Everyone,
Our pile of dirt, lovingly called Mt. Whitted by our neighbors, has passed the "compaction" test. Next step, pour the foundation! :cool1: We are still a long way from moving in, but it's really starting to happen.
Bye,
Avé

Just read that a 4 year old died on Mission Space yesterday. How sad.
Nancy
Very sad indeed.

But

Isn't four years old a little too young for that ride? I won't go on it so I don't know how "bad" it is. I wonder if there were other factors in regards to his death? How horrible.

Ave - Got your email. Waiting for my better half to come home to discuss situation. Don't look too good to me. :( But Rich always seems to have a solution to problem situations. **fingers crossed**

I know that Emily will be 4 in October, and Chris and I already said that we wouldn't let her ride until she was MUCH older. Heck, I rode it once, and that was enough for me. It's such a sad, sad story!!

Jim and I were talking about the 4 year old on Mission Space and couldn't believe that a 4 year old would go on it. We've both been on it and it's a cool ride but not for a 4 year old even if they did make the height restriction. Keep thinking that there must be something more to it than just the ride.

Jim was back to the doctor again today -- pink eye this time. I'm not sure if there's much more that can go wrong with his head at this point. First a sore throat so he got a special mouthwash to gargle with, then antibiotics for the ear infection and now eye drops for the pink eye. Needless to say he's cranky.

Cookie night requirement is the ability to count. Some of us last year had a problem with this but we won't mention names.

Kim - Jim says to tell you that he has a couple of suggestions for cookie night. :rotfl:

Off to bed as I have a client coming in early tomorrow and so far this week has seemed so long that it should be over already.

Ave - congrats on the foundation start - won't be long now!

I heard that the directions were not very clear :rotfl2:

Bill said if you keep talking about him like that, he won't be coming this year ;)

Height requirement for Mission:Space is 44'', which is met by many 4 - 5 year olds. According to the Orlando Sentinel the autopsy didn't come up with any clue to the cause of death. Further analysis of the cause will require four to twelve weeks. MS is back in operation as usual.
We lik that ride, even rode it three times in a row to do it in more than one position. But I also think it is too tough an experience for a kid that age.

So sorry to hear about the four year old.

For those of you who have not stayed on deck two before all I can say is that you are in for a treat. It is quiet and is very convenient to everything. Customer service is one flight up along with 2 dining rooms. We were amazed after having stayed on decks 5 and 7.

Mike

I agree about deck 2. On previous cruises we were on deck 6 and deck 1 and found deck 2 to be the best out of all the decks so far.Very convenient to deck 3 and getting off the boat for excursions. Last cruise we were by the front elevators and the next cruise we will be between the front and mid elevators so it should be even more convenient. Cant wait to cruise again.

We're also on Deck 2 this time after four cruises on Deck 7. It will be shorter ways for us when we go around switching door magnets :teeth:

Forgot to mention: We, of course, will rivet or weld our signs to the door :rotfl2:

We were on deck 2 for our first cruise and loved it. Last cruise we tried deck 7 and really didn't like it so we are back to deck 2. Love the location and the ease of getting to deck 3 and 4. There's an elevator for deck 9 although we did occassionally walk it too.

Not having a great day at work. If I'd wanted to go to court I would have become a litigator -- me I like my office, desk and paperwork. :teeth:

Well, I guess that means we're safe from the magnet bandits since they won't want to make the schlep up to Deck 7! What can I say, hubby likes sleeping on the veranda!

Is your snoring that bad? :rotfl2:

And on our way to/from the pool we can make a little detour via Deck 7 for some rearrangements :teeth:

Let's be truthful! The REAL reason Deck 2 is so great is because that is where the TULI's stay!!! We *discovered* Deck 2 way back in August of 2000 when we sailed the Wonder. We liked it SO much that we have stayed in the same room number for three cruises: 2064. So afraid one of you guys were going to get that room this time around since we didn't book right away!! Thanks for saving it for us!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

We saved the room for the Tuli's so they'd be right next door!

Jays won tonight, yeah -- hasn't happened a whole lot in the last 2 weeks.

Fiona

We are in 2060, so we will have a nice little row of Disers on the cruise...

Bye, Kim
