Nancy,
if you do your week at WDW before Cruisetoberfest IV we could have a mini-meet at the World as we plan on spending 10-14 days before the cruise at WDW, USF/IoA, and SeaWorld.

I got my iPod Shuffle yesterday. I filled it with nearly three hours worth of music last night and wore it at the office today - Wouldn't do that on a normal day, but we were only two people there so it was OK.
This thing is so cool!!! It's as small as a pack of chewing gum and weighs virtually nothing. I will use it as a supplement for my 'real' iPod as I don't like to expose its hard-disk to the strain of running.

Eric after my laptop fried I went and bought a Mac Mini to use with Kathy's work. It is 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches by 2 inches high. Just plug in keyboard, monitor and mouse and I was up and running. I will upgrade the ram to a gig and install a dvd burner instead of the combo drive that it has now. :cool1: Mike

How many of you are willing to go on? (Show of hands) How many of you want to turn back? How many of you are apathetic about the situations? Uh-oh... it looks like one of them's going to try to charge our boat! (shoots) Looks like we've scared them off. I bet he'll have a headache tomorrow! If we're all real quiet, you can sometimes hear the baby hippos calling for their mothers. (Low voice) Shhh- be real quite now... listen .... (leaning out of boat, yells) "Hey mom!"

Uh oh, that large hippo is going to attack us! Watch out! (shoots) I just saved your lives, folks. (pause) YOUR WELCOME! (If applause) Please. . . . Don't. . . . Stop. . .. . Please don't stop!

Now as we enter the Hippo pool, I want to tell you about a ancient ritual that they have… They place their young in the trees to feed on the leaves until they are 6000lbs and then they cannon ball through the jungle foliage to the boats below and sink them to the bottom of the jungle rivers a whole 2.5 feet down. Oh, look there’s one now (shoots up into the trees).

Entering HeadHunter Country:

We are now entering the most dangerous part of our journey. Shhh. . . This is a bad place to be headed.

Over there are the remains of my last crew. (pointing to the skull canoe) You can tell they had a good time. Look, they are still smiling! That's what happens after about 10 hours at Disneyland, folks. Those smiles are just plastered right on their faces.

We're entering headhunter country now... be very quiet. In that canoe over there... the remains of my last crew. They had a good time, even to the end- they're still smiling.

Shhh... we're entering headhunter country now... don't make a sound. In that canoe over there... some of the native's arts and crafts. Art's the one on the top!

We're not out of danger yet- this is headhunter territory. Remove your jewelry please. The natives have been complaining of indigestion.

I wouldn't worry too much about the headhunters. They normally only attack children wearing glowing jewelry (for night cruises) ok so I tried..
ASK A GEEK.

Peter, :rotfl: You need some serious help! :rotfl2: :rolleyes1

PS, I LOVE that ride!
Avé

Peter,
I hope your guestroom has a sturdy lock :rotfl2:

Mike,
the Mac Mini just won a comparison against a Mini-PC in a German magazine. Nevertheless I believe that Apple will never be able to crack the PC-market. Those machines are good and we love our three iPods, but with two Windows-systems at home I won't change to another OS soon.
Why didn't you buy it with a DVD-burner right from the start? Over here it's a factory option.

Eric I have two windows desktops running XP and the mac was used mainly for entering information on Kathy's patients. The more I used the mac the more I loved it. When you place a folder or application in the trash and empty it all the related files are gone too. No more having to explore the hard drive to find remnants of folder or apps and manually deleting them. :cool1:

Love that ride also Peter. From our family to all of yours have a very HAPPY EASTER!! Do not eat too much or go into a chocolate induced stupor. Mike

Ooops, nearly forgot:
FROHE OSTERN für alle

We kind of missed Easter as Anja had to work every day and I was also at the office yesterday.
Last night we switched to Daylight Saving Time in Europe, so we additionally lost an hour. Fortunately business is slow on Anja's ward right now and so she simply started work an hour later. And I switched wheels on our car after I had shuttled her to the hospital. And then our convertible's interior got a thorough cleaning. It's so good to have the summer rubber under the car again :moped:
Tomorrow we'll have the Easter Monday Bank Holiday and Anja has a day off :Pinkbounc  We will have a late breakfast, then go to to the gym for three hours and then have a lazy evening, watching a movie or two.
Last night we watched 'Shall We Dance?' starring R. Gere, J.Lo and S.Sarandon - That was one good movie!!!

Andy and I had a very busy but great weekend. On Saturday we finally got to see Monty Pythons Spam A Lot. It was Monty Pythons holy grail with many twists. It was great. Not a seat was empty. It starred Tim Curry, Hank Azaria and David Hyde Pierce. We both had many a chuckle. They choose someone from the audience to come on stage at one portion. Definetely a must see if you like Monty Python. On sunday we went to the circus at Madison Square Garden. We got tickets to sit in my companys box seats. How cool was that!!! I never sat in the boxes before. We were at the end so it was good-we could see all 3 rings without turning our heads. I am not really a circus person but couldnt resist the box seats. That certainly doesnt happen too often.

I was planning on taking today off from work which would have made it an even nicer weekend(and longer too) but its a rainy dreary day here and I might as well save the precious day off for a nice day. Thats what I say now lets see what happens when as the day progresses....

Hope everyone had a great Easter. I was making dinner (which I do occasionally) and sliced the top of my thumb so then ending up directing dinner. I probably should have had it checked out but the thought of a needle and stitches meant I stayed home.

We saw Miss Congeniality 2 on Saturday which was a cute movie. I really like Sandra Bullock.

The weather is starting to get nice. We were out over the weekend in just sweaters and a lot of the snow is melted. Jim says it's supposed to get up to 15C on Thursday so we'll see.

Off to work. Am hoping to leave early.

Work, Fiona?
I thought Easter Monday was a Bank Holiday in Canada :confused3
Pixiedust for your thumb.
We saw Miss Congeniality 2, which is BTW 'Miss Undercover 2' over here, on Monday in a free preview sponsored by AOL. We loved it, Sandra Bullock is one of our favourites since 'Demolition Man', where she co-starred with Sly Stallone. Did you know that she's quite fluent in German? Her mother is German and taught her the language.

Talking about movies/TV:
Desperate Housewives will start over here on 04/12. Has anybody seen it? Is it worth watching? The cast appears to be very promising.

I thought Easter Monday was a Bank Holiday in Canada

I don't think it was ever a Bank Holiday. Good Friday is one however, and at one time the Banking Act only allowed banks to be closed a maximum three days in a row, so Easter Monday was a 'normal' banking day.

Easter Monday typically means that any and all federal, provincial, and municipal goverment offices are closed or working at emergency-only levels. Private industry generally doesn't consider it a holiday, so it's just another work day from their point of view, but if they heavily rely on the postal system they tend to be closed because there's no mail delivery today. It's the really Odd Holiday here, because basically half the country is on vacation and the other half isn't.

Now if you did something like really, really sliced your finger and it was like bleeding all over the place and you really should go to get it looked after, Easter Monday wouldn't be my first choice of days to do it on.

Jim.

Thanks for the info, Jim :wave2:
Our American calendar (Disney Day-to-Day) today said: Easter Monday (Canada).
So you think it would have been wiser for Fiona to have waited til Tuesday to cut her finger :rotfl2:

Eric - lots of things are closed today but not our office although my secretary took the day off. If you work for the government or go to school you're off but just about everything else is open.

It's very quiet at work though.

Fiona

Eric -- I happen to be a big fan of Desperate Housewives (as is much of America). It is fascinating to follow the lives of the housewives and all of their problems. Very humorous, too. The actresses (and actors, too) are great. Glad it is so popular since it is owned by Disney (ABC) and hopefully will help to boost the value of our Disney stock.

Just saw Grey's Anatomy last night. It premiered right after the Housewives. I really enjoyed that, too. Being a nurse, I am always interested in medical novels, movies, tv shows, etc.

We also saw Miss Congeniality 2 over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Interesting article in People magazine this week about Sandra Bullock. She just hit 40, lives in Austin, TX, has never been married, boyfriend is the owner of a motorcycle shop. She enjoys hanging out in the local bars. She also gave $1,000,000 to tsumami relief.

:grouphug: Been thinking about Ave all day....Maybe "BCH BABE" will pop in and get us up to speed....
