Eric,

I couldn't do it to you. So you got it. :teeth: I almost did, but I decided not to since you answered my question so fast!

Reneé

I got #2001 :rotfl2: :cheer2:  :rotfl2: :bounce: :earboy2: :cheer2:

The Camel with those two former friends of mine on its back got 2000

No you did it. I'm gonna call DCL and tell them to demand $899.99 for teh group-picture :teeth: :rotfl: :badpc:

Congratulations on #2000, Eric. See I got #2001.

Don't even try to cover up your despicable crime:

YOU got 2000!!
I got 2001!!!

Folks, there will be an update of the List this weekend as I have to remove Renee :teeth: :rotfl:

HEY!!!!!

Just kidding :rotfl2:
Now I have to go for 3000 :teeth:
Congrats on snatching 2000, Renee

I guess I'm right to assume that Ave & Mary and Rosemary will laugh some parts of their posterior anatomy off when they read how you got 2000 :earboy2: Not to speak of Dan
And I don't even dare to think of Cathy's reaction pirate:

Eric & Reneé--

You've both got me confused. My board shows #2000 as Eric's "Oops, Wrong count" post. At least I know I didn't get it. Oh, well.

Hey--I have a question for the Germs & Canadians. Doesn't it get old to keep posting cm/in, or Deg C/F?

See that's what I see! Eric DID get #2000. Don't listen to him. He's trying to be a troublemaker, lol.

Reneé

You both got 2000, you are just counting it a different way. Eric wanted to get the 2000th reply, which Renee got, but Eric did get the 2000th post.

Make sense now? ;)

Yep,
that's a salomonic solution

Marianne,
I just do it out of courtesy to save you Americans the labour of converting the numbers, but still posting it in decent units of measurement for your more civilized neighbours to the North pirate:  The easiest solution would be, if you Americans would join the rest of the world and go metric, too ;)
I'll have to do the conversion daily as I work in aviation. Most of the data we get is in feet, nautical miles, etc. But the former Soviet States and China publish their stuff metric. As we do our charts in feet and nautical miles I have to convert everything coming from there.

OK, we call it a day now. ER is over, the VCR is taping Nip/Tuck and we have to get up early tomorrow.
C U 2morrow

I try to do the conversions so that the Americans will understand the measurements although I'll admit that Eric does the conversions much better than I do. Metric came to Canada when I was in grade 7 and we had classes in metric -- one class a week, boy was it boring. For some things I 'think' in metric and for others I 'convert' automatically. Our grocery stores here still show meat prices in per kg and per lb! Our measuring cups have both measurements on them as a lot of recipes are still in the imperial measurement. Gas is totally in litres. I can tell you I have a 80 litre gas tank but have no clue what the number of gallons is (and the British gallon is different from the American gallon so it's even more confusing).

I'll agree with Eric - it would be easier if everyone just converted to metric!

Still at work and it's still snowing here.

We had a light dusting of snow this morning and some black ice. There was a wreck on interstate 40 this am and when the picture was put on the tv it was a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck. Surrounding the accident was 4 police cars and about 6 cops. What is wrong with this picture? Cops and doughnuts :rotfl2: :jumping1: :thewave: Mike

Hey! Look what I got in the mail today! Did anyone else?

"It's the first of the finds that we'll be sending you from time to time. So, naturally, we stuffed it in a coconut and popped it in the mail. It's the much coveted Chocolate Soufflé recipe from Palo! :cheer2:

Of course, as I never did eat at Palo, I'm not sure just how coveted the recipe is. I'm sure it doesn't beat the Pirate's Cheesecake (right, Sharon?).

But it felt SOOOO good to get something in the mail from DCL, and it smells like suntan oil!!! YUM!
