Peter, No guest room in the new house. We have to wait for the kids to move out before we can have an extra room. But you and Jen are welcome anytime. We have an air mattress, and a pull out couch. Or we could pitch a tent in the yard, put the kids out there and give you thier rooms.
Long day at work today. A few weeks ago we heard that our local phamacy chain (Eckerd) has sold out to CVS. We have about 7 stores in town, and another 3-4 in the outlying areas. Today we found out that any pateint with an existing prescription at any of the former Eckerds/new CVS will require a new written prescription from thier doctor's office. Since my doc does nothing but "Internal Medicine" (read scripts for everyone) this is a potential nightmare for me. We'll see what happens.
Maryanne, Glad to see you posting again. We missed you.

Got to go help DS with his homework.

We got a dusting of snow here over the week-end and it was gone by noon. I have only one thing to say about "SNOW' Its a four letter word and I was taught never to use such language.
Fiona, I dont think I could live up there with all that snow.

you simply have to add 273.3 to the Celsius-value to get K

Happy Birthday Haley!!!

We had a new baby born in the office yesterday -- our newest associate's wife had a baby girl yesterday morning. Funny thing is that their daughter was born at the same hospital as my DS and she had the same ob too!

No snow here yet and actually the temperatures are still fall like (to me, ask Jim and it's like a deep freeze already!).

Time to wake up DS.

Happy Birthday Haley!

We are back from our weekend at the race! We had SUCH a GREAT time! The race was very exciting, with "our guy" Mark Martin staying in the top 5 for the entire race. Our seats were across from his pit box, so we were able to see his pit stops very clearly. A late caution with just 10 laps to go and Mark fell from 2nd to 5th. When raceing resumed, he made it back up to 2nd in just 7 laps, and was closing the gap between himself and the leader very quickly, but not quickly enough. He finished 2nd.
The weather was very chilly for S.C. and being up in the stands with the wind blowing made it even colder. We all wore lots of layers of clothes, but the cool weather cut our beer consumption!
Sadly, this was the last "Fall" race at Darlington. In May the Spring race will be the last one at Darlington. After 53 years the track will no longer host Nextel races

perhaps we can see a race together in '06 - I would love it. And it would be a fitting sequel to us seeing the movie in Charleston

Eric and Anja, we would LOVE to go to a race with you. Last year the races were in New Hampshire and Las Vagas while you were in the US. The good news is that the race schedule has been undergoing some changes, and will continue to change a bit over the next two years. If there is a race in Atlanta, Daytona, Darlington,Miami,Charlotte, or Taladaga (in short, anything within a days drive) during your visit, we will get tickets!

Had lunch with my DB today and found out that my 2 year old nephew has managed to chip his two front teeth. He fell in the bath I guess and chipped them both. He then visited the dentist but there doesn't seem to be any damage for now to his teeth. If an abcess develops they'll have to do something though -- a root canal but so far that hasn't happened. They aren't even going to file them down as they'd have to strap him down to the chair to do it and that would scare him of dentists forever. They take an xray in four months to see if he's damaged his adult teeth. My nephew is a darling but boy oh boy he's a handful! Can't wait to see him as a teenager.
