the formulae are
°F to °C: (F-32)/1.8=C
°C to °F: C*1.8 + 32=F

So your 17°F translate to ~-8°C:
17 - 32 = -15 ---> -15/1.8 = 8.3333

Learn those formulae, there'll be a test on the ship

Ok, so I guess that you guys don't want to know the temps here in Central Florida?!?!? It was a balmy 82 degrees here in St. Petersburg, and the lows are in the 60s. Boy, I don't miss living up north, and I wouldn't leave FL for anything!!

Incidently, my realtor came by with the open house signs while I was digging up my front yard and I asked her if I was doing it right. When she realized exactly what I was doing, she was not pleased. I guess that's just the difference between a Southern Baptist Christian and a cynical wise-a-s-s Northern Irish Catholic.
