Fiona: sorry you had a bad experience with your waiter at Palo. It's been my impression that only the best servers are assigned there. We've never had the same server twice, but they've always been wonderful. I would give it another try....the desserts are to die for!

I've also done high tea twice and although it was very nice, I probably wouldn't do it again. Eating all those sweets in the midafternoon totally wrecks my appetite for dinner and having to dress nicely in the middle of a sea day doesn't quite make it in my vacation schedule. Given the choice, I think I'd much prefer to spend my afternoon in the rainforest room. And sometimes one gets very lazy on a cruise and just wants to nap.......ask Wendy, she'll tell you all about it!

We did the Palo's brunch. I am not sure what we plan to do this trip. We haven't really talked about it. We looked over the planning kit, but haven't made any firm decisions yet.

Thanks Jeanne. Been lurking more then posting. It was a crazy week with the boys finishing up school. Now things are slowed down a bit and I can spend more time here!

Yes, Palo is also a highlight for us as well. But in order to keep it special, we only dine there once per sailing. Plus, it's usually SO MUCH food, we wouldn't want to do it more than once....unlike that Palo-Piggy Person (who's name also begins with a "P" and opted not to sail with us this time around) who somehow managed to eat there just about every night!
