Eric:There were lots of foods that made their debut at the CWF. The book talked a bit about Cracker Jax and shredded wheat. It didn't mention the frankfurters, per se, but there was an instance where the Princess of Spain was a visiting dignitary. Rather than dine in the fine establishments, she slipped away from her bodyguards and went to eat at the German pavilion incognito. Oh, the power of a good hot dog! (If you like, I can bring you the book.....I want some members of my family to read it, but everyone should be finished by October.)

Yep,
I would appreciate it - Danke schön :thumbsup2
We have Frankfurters with ketchup and a freshly baked pretzels sometimes, but we usually prefer the poultry variant as it has less calories ;)
World Fairs are great!! We visited the Expo 2000 in Hannover and had a whale of a time. We bought a family ticket for like DEM 149 ($100), which included admission for two adults and two kids and the tickets for the ICE, our 190mph highspeed train. We took my niece and one of her classmates with us, who were 14 then and pretended they were our kids ;) So they got there for free. Upon arrival at the fair we separated but stayed in contact via cellphone. We visited about 50 countries and ate our way around the world.

Wendym, cdnmickeylover, jeanneg, thank you for the warm welcome.

Eric, I have sent you a PM with our info. Thanks!

Happy Memorial Day everyone. It is a cool, rainy one here. Hope it's better where you are.

Ciao :wave2:

Carlotta,
I got your mail. Now I just have to find time for an update as Monday isn't the best time do that ;) I hope to be able to do it before the weekend.

List #39 is in your mailboxes - check it out!!
I was able to squeeze it in tonight ;)

Hi all! We're back from Cancun! I've got a small bit of info to post up with a couple of pics. We took the Selvatica tour and I'll let everyone know our of the experience.

We also took time to recertify ourselves for scuba and made a one tank dive.

Awesome photos, Lily! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. The zip line thing looks like so much fun! There is something like that being offered in Costa Maya and I'd love to do it, but hubby prefers to keep his feet on the ground so we're opting for something a little more conservative. I'm glad you guys had such a geat time.

Hey all,

Are you up for another family joining Cruisetoberfest?

I'm thinking I'll just jump in here and not review this whole thread, so I hope you'll catch me up as we go along.

We were just getting home from our one and only Disney Cruise about a year ago, so we've had cruise on the brain lately. All that thinking about it made us decide maybe we'd better do it again! :thumbsup2
We were even able to book the same two rooms we had last year. I think that's a good sign, don't you?

We're excited to be joining you!

Just a quick hello to welcome Sheila and family to our merry band!

Off to the doctor for a checkup and then off to work.

Fiona

Welcome aboard, Sheila

We got our Trip Planning Kit today :cool1:

Eric, haven't posted in a while as we were in DLP and London for a couple of weeks. I have never received any lists in my mailbox and I'm wondering what I'm missing out on.

Got the brochure this week, so it must really be getting close now.

Marcy

That's no wonder, Marcy - I haven't received your info yet ;)

Got my trip planning kit, but Jenny didn't get one? :confused3

Glad to have all the new cruisers aboard. :welcome:

Seems like no rhyme or reason to who gets them how quick! Mine was a little slow, Disney sent it to AAA, then they held it for a while and finally mailed it out! Finally got it, now lets see what I can get DH to pick for the room out of the catalog!!!
