Eric, don't know what info you need. Never received any info when I first joined this group. Please let me know.

Hello everybody. I posted once, long ago but as the cruise gets closer, I find myself becoming more and more obsessed with the planning. Finally after counting down from over 400 days, my children are starting to get excited. My DD10, Morgan, is starting to search for some kids close to her age. (She will be 11 next month. DS7) I was thinking at one time there had been a kids forum for this group. I can't seem to locate it even with the search engine. Can anybody direct me? Thanks, Eric for keeping me updated with the cruise list. I appreciate being included.

Heather,
the Kids' Forum is on OUR boards, not here on the DIS. You'll find a link to our boards on the bottom of The List. Also to be found there is the address for the Kids' List.

Yay! for trip planning. So, what's everone doing? Any decisions yet?

We'll go diving at Cozumel, and do the Mayan Adventure in Costa Maya. We haven't made any plans for CC yet, but I guess we'll just spend two lazy days at Serenity Bay basking in the sun and snorkeling. Perhaps we may do the JetSki Excursion, but we have to think about it.
As this will probably be our last Disney cruise we really want to enjoy CC.

Ok...we just got back from a week at DW. Up until now all of my disboards planning has been on DW. Now it's time to start thinking about our DD on 10/14. We're on "the list" but haven't been very active on this thread.

Time to jump in.....

While we were at DW we tried to buy tickets to MNSSHP for 10/13....We were shocked to discover there isn't one on that Friday....but one is planned for every other Friday in October....What's up? Does anyone know? Are the Disney folks scared of Friday the 13th?

With so many CC members on this cruise does anyone think it will be hard to get Palo reservations?

I've been reading about the first DD cruise that just came back and have been trying to decide which night we should go to Palo's. What's everyone's thinking on this?

Looking forward to jumping in and getting to know you guys. I'm not sure I'll get through all 400+ pages, however!

Evans Family, don't try to read all that, it'll take you years, considering it took that long to write! Just jump in and welcome!

Question as you live in Georgia - We are stopping in Savannah for a day on the way down. What is the weather like down that way? Hot, hot and humid, rainy? We have never been to GA, it looks beautiful! Denise

Evans family: I don't think Palo should be a problem, especially now that you can make the ressies ahead of time. We've sailed 4 times before and have always gotten the evening we wanted. Is there a schedule of theme nights for the DD cruises? If so, please direct me to it. I don't want to schedule Palo on captain's Gala night and miss the lobster tails!

Denise: a few years ago we did a stopover in Savannah on our way home. It is such a picturesque city and very pedestrian friendly. We did one of the haunted walking tours and it was a blast!

Years and years ago we stopped in Savanah and it's a really pretty town. I believe that we took some kind of city tour but I'd love to go back at some point.

Check out OUR boards - That will save going through 400+ pages. The link can be found at the bottom of The List.

No Palo's for us. We did it during our second cruise and weren't impressed.

We've decided to not go to Palos as well. Have never done Palos, but just don't feel compelled.

Another thought I've got...

So, who is planning on booking onboard for another curise? Will there be a Cruistoberfest V?

No Palos! WOW! I can't imagine a cruise without Palo's. We have been there mulitple times on all our previous cruises and it was fabulous everytime.
We go as often as we can convince our kids to eat with their clubs! Sorry to hear others of you have not had as great an experience there as we have, but happy to hear not everyone plans to go so that means more chances for us to get in - hee-hee :teeth:

Hey, we are definitely still going! Thought about not, but DH had a fit! Plus, I wear a uniform for the majority of my life, love those opertunities to dress up a little! This time we have got to get a better ressie, we missed out on Animator's first rotation, so as of yet I have not seen the whole "show", ever:sad2: . We are going to try to the to get into the brunch also. I think we might be trying to get a group for that!!!

Yes, Palo is also a highlight for us as well. But in order to keep it special, we only dine there once per sailing. Plus, it's usually SO MUCH food, we wouldn't want to do it more than once....unlike that Palo-Piggy Person (who's name also begins with a "P" and opted not to sail with us this time around) who somehow managed to eat there just about every night! :rotfl2:

We went to Palos for dinner and brunch on our first cruise. Brunch was ok and I'd do it again although I wouldn't sit in the room that's in the back -- it was way, way too warm in there. We didn't have a good dinner at all so we probably won't repeat that -- our server was less than good and it appeared that he was that way because we didn't order wine with dinner. He made a couple of comments that were totally rude actually. Didn't go near Palo on our second cruise and didn't miss it.

We would like to try the high tea though and haven't managed it the last 2 cruises. We enjoy tea at the Grand Floridian so hopefully we'll have a chance at tea this time around.
