The Ferret has gone home

So does this mean we miss out on Ferret on a Stick? I was sort of looking forward to that... I mean, I've had raccoon, skunk, squirrel, beaver and possum and was looking forward to ferret.

Two bits of good news this week:

1) there's a ground beef super sale on at the local supermarket. We're stocking up on that and Hamburger Helper. We're down to less than 20 boxes of HH, and I don't really like having that small of a choice.

2) We got near-front row tickets to see Reba McInsomethingorother. I don't have a clue who she is but I'm told that she sings and has a TV show and I will have a good time. The last time I was this excited I woke up with the keyboard impression in my forehead and it took two days for it to go away. Although if she does any Python material it may be o.k., or maybe whacks the front row with a hockey stick that may be o.k. also.

It's actually been a slow week.

Avé--good luck with your surgery next month. And lucky for that ferret that I'm vegetarian.

Nancy--so sorry about your son & roommates. I can imagine the feeling of being violated. Insurance won't cover that.

The update of the List last week postponed the creation of the first CruzLetter. I'll start working on it this weekend. Please continue sending your input.
Kim just sent the Birthday/Anniversary infor for the next four months.

OK, going to bed now. We just watched 'Legends of the Fall', this is such a great movie - And each time we watch it our resolve grows, that we have to go to Montana sooner or later.
Tomorrow will be the coldest day of the winter so far with temps a slow as -30°C/-22°F on Germany But in Frankfurt it will probably not as bad as this. Nevertheless we'll depart a bit earleir than usual tomorrow morning. Anja has to work Saturday and Sunday, and I'll shuttle her to the hospital as usual

Hello all and hope that everyone is having a great weekend. The weather here is great this weekend and hope that everyone is warming up or cooling down as they need it.

Just put new tires on the saturn vue and had the oil changed. I had 49000 miles on them and they were the ones that came with the car.

Hope that everyone who is sick are on the mend and be careful getting Anja back and forth to work Eric. Mike

Our tyres have to be replaced too in the summer - But I guess we'll just replace the car even though it won't have more than 55,000 km (34,500mls) on the odometer then. The manufacturer claims 49mpg for the new model of our car when equipped with the brandnew 110hp Diesel engine. It still does 0-60 in 10 seconds flat and tops out at 120 mph. That's only 1.5 seconds and 15 mph slower than our present model with 136hp, which is rated at 29mpg and usually makes 25-27mpg. Add the fact that Diesel fuel is 15 cents cheaper per litr than premium unleaded, and that there is a €350 tax bonus for Diesel-cars equipped with a particle-filter and you come to the conclusion, that sometimes it is cheaper to change the car not the tyres

YIPEE!!! We just got an offer on the sale of our home. It is a reasonable offer, so we will make a counter offer on Monday. In the mean time we have a few more appointments between now and then. The only issue we have so far is the closing date (April 18th). We wanted to be in the new house in Florida by end of March. But it is NOT a deal breaker. We will see how it goes.

Sent in one small article but several photos for the newsletter.

Rich and I definitely want to see Eric and Anja in October. Don't want to impinge on the NYC trip because there is SO much to see and do in the city and not saying we wouldn't join in on that but also hoping that sometime during those two weeks you guys could hop the ferry and come to LI for the day and we will show you the suburbs of NY and enjoy a meal at our home. Perhaps Andy and Arlene would be free to join us too.
