I'm sorry, it's almost quitting time on a Friday afternoon. So if this sounds like a stupid question, it probably is...

What is an SAHM?

Marianne,
even I as a non-native speaker knew that one :earboy2:
But in Germany we have a saying 'There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers' ;)

My quitting time today was 6pm
My partner is on vacation and so I have to do two people's work alone. Except for Monday I clocked overtime every day this week and will probably do the same next week

What's the itinerary for the 11-day cruise in September?
I'm just curious, have no intentions to switch.

And yes, for us Cruisetoberfest V may be worth thinking about, but we would do a California Cruise then in 2007. We haven't been to CA yet and would also love to see DL CA and the Californian Adventure - and of course Grand Canyon, Napa Valley, San Francisco, LA.

Welcome to all the newbies!:wave2:

But really - Say it isn't so! You guys can't go, we'll miss you. I just told Chris, and he wants to know what the good deal is (he's so fickle!) always out for a good deal and extra helpings of Disney! Eric - you can get them to change their minds! Take care, I have to go try to figure out how to order of the kid's menu now without at least one at the table! Denise

10 day is St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua and Castaway Cay. The 11 day adds in St. Kitts too. Price wise it's about the same as the repo cruises were first day.

I'm sorry, Eric, but as I have never had the opportunity to be a SAHM, I didn't know the vernacular.

At first I thought it has something to do with being a single mother, but then dis ms. started talking about DH, and I knew that wasn't right. :confused3

Hey Folks,

what's going on here?
-One Newbie (Welcome aboard Dis Ms, just sent you a mail :wave2: )
-Three veterans deserting the group :sad2:

Yeah, what gives? As soon as I get here, people start dropping like flies. Was it something I said? Maybe it was the thought of seeing me at naked karaoke... You: :earseek: , then :rotfl2: Me:

Thanks for all the welcomes!

dis ms....I am so happy you took the plunge and joined us! :cheer2: Never mind those "people" who are leaving us! hmph. We'll just have fun with out them...well, okay, :sad2: it's just not going to be the same, but I am trying to convince myself otherwise! Peter, Jenn, Tracy, Bill, and everyone else....WHY!! WHY?? :confused3 I was so looking forward to our cruise together! Happy Sailings! :boat: Maybe you could hide stuff on board for us to find on our cruise! Sort of like GeoCacheing?

A Big Welcome to Dis. Ms. So glad to have you join our group. :cool1:

Renee, Lenny, Tracy, Bill, Jenn, and Peter, I'm so sorry you won't be joining us. But I have faith in the Cruisetoberfest spirit. And I KNOW we will see each other again on a future cruise. The 11 day trip sounds great, but we can't keep the kids out of school that long. Remember to recruit future Cruisetobefesters. :goodvibes
I just watched the CD of our trip with Capt. Marvins in Grand Cayman. What a great day that was. :fish:
Welcome home to Rosemary and Richard, and Michelle and family. Glad you had a good time, and are home safe and sound.

House update: We now have a shingled roof, and a septic system. Also sliding glass doors were delievered, but not installed yet. :flower:

Gotta go pick-up dinner.
Later,
Avé

Ok guys I had to join the other Castaways, however we have also decided to jump ship (literally!) to the 11 night sailing!

I love ya guys and hope we will meet up again soon.

dan

Hey guys, I hate to say this, but we are going to do the 11-night too. We decided that we had better do this type of trip while our girls are young and we don't have to worry about school.

I know that we'll see you guys in the future. Besides, I would LOVE for anyone to contact us if you're going to be at WDW. We live close enough that we would LOVE to see you!!!

I'm reading this and my mouth is hanging open. As soon as winotracy said she was bailing, I had a funny feeling about Jen and Peter. Now I'm worried about Bettemom and Kim. And DAN! SAY IT ISN'T SO!!! This is getting harder and harder to bear. I think I will boycott reading this thread for fear of finding more people leaving. What I don't know won't hurt me.....

ALIKAT! YOU TOO???!!!! Shoot, that's it. I'm gonna close this window and not come back here until this all blows over.

BTW - Welcome DisMs and Wendym.

Another BTW - We will be going to the World AFTER the cruise -- that's the October 14th, 2006 cruise, in case anyone is worried about us jumping ship too.

I would love to go on the 10 or 11 day cruise, but can't take the kids out of school that long. So, we're sticking with Cruisetoberfest. :grouphug:
Laura

Welcome dis. ms This is really a great group of people.

I need to pay attention to other forums on this board, I didn't even know that there was an 11 day cruise. Was that just announced? After reading this thread, I did look it up and saw there is both a 10 and 11 day cruise doing Southern Caribbean. Sorry to say, I may have to think about that since it is going to islands that we haven't been to. I really hate to not cruise with this group, but the 11 day is tempting. I wish it was going in May and not Sept. Plus all the hurricanes that have been occuring in Sept the past 2 years. Just thinking outloud.

Nancy

Be still my wandering eye. The 11 day does look nice. All the cruises look nice.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend. Mike

Oh gosh you guys! I didn't really have a chance to get to know you all. Yes I was shy......but I also have booked the 11 day cruise. It came as a complete surprise to me. I had no idea, my wonderful travel agent put a hold on a room for me, and I didn't get her email until tonight. How could I say no to 11 days? I am sorry for any trouble Eric, adding me to the list. I had no idea, and hope you understand that this is just too tempting to say no to.

May you all have the cruise of your life! Enjoy!

Robin

Neither had I the opportunity :rotfl:
But perhaps it fits you too:
Single And Hardworking Mom ;) which is definitely the tougher job-especially when done so good (Remember? I know your great kids!!)

OK Folks,
to be honest: we can't hide a certain level of appointment about so many people deserting the group :sad2:

Anja and I won't switch as we want to integrate our Reunification Day (10/3)into the vacation, because this saves us a precious vacation day. Anja' BD is 10/14 and mine is 10/10, which is another reason to stay on that cruise.

Michele,
if you really find something during our cruise which was hidden during the 11-day-cruise all your drinks are on me :wave2:
Now you're surely asking yourself, why does this nice German make you that generous offer? Here's the solution: If you really find something on the MAGIC , which was hidden on the WONDER , you deserve lots of free drinks :rotfl2:

Eric, you could start your vacation with the 11 day cruise and then do the stuff you planned to do before the cruise after. We leave on Sunday, Sept 17 and return on Thursday Sept 28.

It was interesting looking at this 11-day thing. The only island that I haven't been to is St. Kitts, and that would be a huge attraction for me. :)

Looks like you're stuck with us.

We'll send you a listing of concessions and compensations that we want in turn for keeping on here.

Jim.
