Hi all.
My name is Marilou and I am Art's sister - All your Pixie dust seems to be working. He has had a few bad days but things are looking brighter. He had a good night last night and is feeling much much better today. If he would only start eating he could get some of his strength back. They are hopeing for soft food today. Keep that Pixie dust coming his way. Cathy could really use a extra dose of Pixie dust - she hasn't left his side.

Marilou

We had a wonderful few days at WDW. ...............................................................

Sounds like you had a magical trip! V&A must have been amazing, but I have no idea how you were able to drink so much! I'd be sloshed!!! :rotfl:

Where were the VIP seats for Illuminations? How did it compare with the other times you've seen the show?

BTW -- where did you stay?

We had booked a garden view concierge room at the Poly since it has a very special sentimental significance to us. I really wanted a Lagoon view, but couldn't justify the extra money just for a vista (I think about $85 more per day) Anyhow, when we checked in at about 8:30 a.m. they said the bad news was that the room would not be ready for a few hours, but the good news was that we had been upgraded to a lagoon view. They said they had oversold the garden views and needed to shuffle people around. My own feeling is that they probably gave it to us because of the V&A reservation on our itinerary.
Aside from the champagne, we only had one glass of each wine and they only filled it about half-way up. The meal took just under 3 hours and there was plenty of food so that helped, but by dessert, I was definitely feeling no pain!
Our VIP seating was a roped-off section near Italy. The view was no better or worse than any other around the World Showcase. What made it special was that we only had to arrive 15 minutes prior to the show and didn't have to deal with any crowds. There were about 15 of us there so we all had plenty of space.

Eric: your joke reminds me of the very funny one in "Slingblade" that Billy Bob Thornton hears and then proceeds to mess up when he retells it. It took me quite a while to completely understand that one - I kept thinking about it over and over and when I finally got it I just cracked up!

That is really awesome! Talk about great pixie dust!!!

The no wait alone is quite special!

Glad you had a good time at WDW Jeanne. I'd like to try V & A's sometime but Jim looked at the price and just about fell off his chair. We'll get there at some point though.

Going to the Jays game tonight so have to get moving.

I totally agree with you about the price.....it's not something we'll be doing anytime soon. But remember all those months we had our Raleigh house on the market?..........this was our reward for finally selling!

Thanks for the Art update Marilou. Mike

(THIS IS ROSEMARY POSTING FROM PCB)

Quick note from the Traveling Tuli's.

FIRST AND FOREMOST -- ART! GET BETTER SOON!!!! Glad to hear from Marilou and Papa about your progress but we wanna hear FROM YOU!!!!!! And Cathy, take care of yourself too. Prayers and Pixie dust always going your way!

Second, I'm being called to dinner at Mary's house her in PCB. We are having a wonderful vacation and the last two days in PCB have been fantastic. Will write again when we get time.

Hi to all the new and Old cruisers!!!

Lots of Love and Pixie Dust to Art and Cathy! :grouphug:

Avé, Mark, Mary, and Casey

Glad that you're having a good time Rosemary & Rich.

Jeanne - it's a nice reward which I'm so glad you could take since the house finally SOLD!

Phone was busy again today -- I put all calls to voicemail for 45 minutes and had 11 messages to return which took most of the rest of the day. Hint for people leaving messages -- please leave why you are calling, if it involves me making another phone call to get you the information you want it's a lot easier for me to make one phone back to you with the information than 2 calls to you the first one being to find out what the heck you want. Sigh. Off the vent now. The other real estate lawyer left for two weeks of vacation today so now starts the real fun although on one of his files his instructions are "don't say anything or do anything and just stall but do it nicely". I can do this. :goodvibes

Jays won so it was good game but still really humid out.

Off to bed as should get to work early -- Monday is a holiday here which is good in one way but is one less day to get stuff done for next week!

Fiona

Thanks for the update on Art, Marilou.
We'll keep the PixieDust going across the Big Pond :wave2:

I finished HP VI last night - That was a thrilling ending!!!! Can't wait for VII.

We were at a Malaysian Restaurant last night with my cousin and her boufriend, so we didn't ahve time to visit the Boards. It was an AYCE-buffet and now we won't eat anything for a couple of days :teeth:

Hi Everyone! Just checking in.

Prayers to Art and Cathy. Feel better soon :flower:

Tulirose- Say Hi to Mary and Ave and families for me and have a great trip!

Laura

Plenty of pixie dust, prayers and get well wishes to Art and Cathy.

Welcome back Jeanne. Glad you had a great time.

Went to the Inner Harbor on Sat and when I saw the Ducks going around it reminded me of the time when we had our mini meet and many of you rode on the Duck and then keeping quacking around the harbor the rest of the day.

I am addicted to the Amazing Race reruns. I really like that the season goes by so fast and don't have to wait from one week to the next to see who gets eliminated. Apparently AR8 the family edition is only being done in the US, I have read some of the spoilers that tell you were they have been seen taping and it has been spots in the US. Rumor has it starting in Fl at WDW. I just don't think it will be as interesting as the previous ones. Part of the fun is watching how people interact with other cultures, language barrier and getting the best international flights. Suppose to air mid Sept.

Glad that Rosemary and Rich are having fun in PCB. I guess there next stop is to vist Kathy and Mike.

Later.

Nancy

Marilou here, just updating - Art is doing really well may be discharged tomorrow. Keep that pixie dust coming.

Marilou

Pixie dust for Art!! We hope that you're feeling better and better each and every day!!!

Continued prayers and pixie dust to Art and Cathy....only the best for you two.

Hi Marilou.....good to see you posting and not lurking...lol!!

Nancy.....I am also enjoying the AR series....really like the two gay guys on this series.....getting annoyed with "Peach" and her sister...they made it sound like they were going to be raped and murdered.....the people really seemed so friendly and the children were beautiful....it was grossing me out with the sheep's head though....thought for a moment it was fear factor!! Mary Jo

Thanks for the update Marilou. Hoping Art can come home tomorrow as planned.

Had a nice visit with Rosemary and Richard. Went out to dinner Monday night. Then Tuesday we took them out on our boat. Beautiful FL day! :sunny: Saw lots of dolphin, and some manta rays. Daughter Mary showed off her water skiing abilities. And Richard's dog Hershey had his first swimming lesson.
Later, we all met at sister Mary's house for dinner.
Back to work this morning. :sad2:

Later,
Avé

Hey Sis,
we were only shown dolphins, but no manta rays :p
That has to be changed for next year :wave2:
