Logan1 PCB is fine. There was some beach erosion, but I'm not sure how bad it is. Water is nice, no seaweed. Capt A's got some minor flooding, but they are back open for business. We live about 1/2 mile from Capt. A's. Stopped in the other night for some grilled shimp, greek salad with shrimp and crab and a peanut butter pie. Got it all "to go", brought it home and had it with steaks we cooked on the grill. I waited tables there back in 1986-88. That place just keeps getting better. All the other places you mentioned are fine as far as I know. Hint...fill your tank with gas before you get here. Gas is very expensive and hard to find. They are saying supplies are coming, but there are still lines at the gas stations.
Haven't got the new HP book yet. Just finishing R is for Ricochet by Sue Grafton. Nancy, I love Evanovich!

I have to admit, when I first found this thread, it was already some 100 pages long...that is a LOT of catching up to do! Plus it seemed like everybody already knew everybody. But now, I feel like I'm just part of the family!
BTW, with only 450 days to go, has anyone thought about their arrival plans? I assume everyone will come in on Friday night? Are you flying? Driving? Coming in a few days early to enjoy the parks? We are not sure on our plans...Steve wants to fly in Friday. I would like to drive and save a few bucks. Heck I would like to come in a few days earlier too, but with the boys being in school, I dunno what the schedule is and how much time they will miss anyway. We may have to set time aside every morning to do homework so they won't be TOO far behind when we get back!

Well, for us, we live close enough that we COULD drive over on Sat morning. But, what we usually do is drive over to WDW the day before and stay at WDW. Then, we'll drive over to PC in the morning. Then, we do the same thing on the way home. Stay over at WDW for Sat night, then back home on Sunday.

Here are those Watermelon Cakes I made for the picnic the other day! Just take a white cake mix and mix as the directions say. Add one pack of unsweet kool-aid mix and 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips. Bake in 2 rounds and cool. Then decorate with pink and green icing and add more chips on top and the recipe called for jelly beans on the sides, instead I used M&Ms. It's just a fun cake that everyone enjoyed!

Hurray hurray!! I'm so happy to see a group of DISers that seem like they'll be a blast. My DH and I will be sailing with you all on october 14th-an early anniversary cruise (anniversary is Oct 25) I actually convinced DH to book because of the fact that it does a double CC dip!!

this will be DH's second cruise, my third, but neither of us have ever sailed on the Magic before. What are the main differences we should look for between the wonder and the magic?

Our Wedding Anniv. is Sept 12,1992 we could call this cruise our Annv. Cruise, couldn't we? It would be 14 years. I guess we'll have to book another cruise on board so we can celebrate 15 years. (did anyone else go to WDW when they were celebrating 15 years? I now have that song in my head...15 years! and we're having a party!) Anyway, oh! and my birthday is Sept 21...I could call it the 39 and holding cruise! hhhmmm........
Well, I now feel like I am rambling. There is a storm a-brewin' to the west, so I better batten down the hatches and get the PC's shut down! Have a good night ya'll!

A BIG Welcome to ImagineMeDisney and all other new cruisers! So very glad to have you with us! I have been on all of the Cruistoberfest cruises and they just keep getting better.

We have always come in the night before and stay at the Radisson. We will hopefully do the same for this cruise.

So sorry to hear about Scotty!He was the original "go to"guy!

I have not gotten the Harry Potter book yet, but just finished a great book by Nelson DeMill "The Lion's Game".

Looking forward to seeing Rosemary and Rich next week.

We just couldn't wait till Oct. '06 for another cruise. So, we are on the Oct. 2, 4 night Wonder The bad news is, we can't go to Seaside I guess we will have to wait till spring. I was so looking fwd to dinner at Bud and Alley's and the Spicy Noodle....I guess Palo's will have to do!!
If anyone needs anything from PC, let me know!

Just back from the Jays game and they won again. The poor Seatle shortstop had three errors.

Jim's finished HP - he stayed up til 4am last night reading it. He says it's not his favourite of the series. I still have about 200 pages to go but since the phone kept ringing at work didn't even have time to read while I ate my lunch. Am hoping tomorrow will be better.

Tracy - I had to apologize to the receptionist as I snapped at her and told her to put everything to voicemail (which I actually hate since it takes twice as long to then connect with the person). At the end of the day I'd pick up one message and there'd be another one on the phone -- it was getting ridiculous. One funny phone call though from a law firm that sends out their documents with a "don't call us just fax us" message and they actually called me twice!! I didn't realize that they knew what telephones were!

Off to bed as I'm going to try to get into work before the phones start so I can leave in time to get home and go swimming.

Our tentative plan for the pre-cruise weeks are:
Flying to the States on 09/23/06
One night near MCO just to sleep off the flight
On 09/24 we'll head to PCB to visit my sisters
Around 10/03 back to Orlando.
We'll probably stay either at the ASMovies or at the Pop Century til 10/13 or 10/14, then drop off our car at MCO and hop over to either the Radisson (10/13) or directly to the Port (10/14).

Hi Guys,

Just checking in.. I just updated the B-day / Anniversary list from the most recent update from Eric. Here is the list as it stand now. Please let me know if changes and/or additions are in order.

It is still hot here in New Hampshire, hopefully this weekend the weather is to start cooling down. Saturday we are going into Boston to visit with the younger Bro & wife. We will do the duck boat tours, and go eat at Maggiano's. Yummmmmm

Mom will probably come back on the board soon, she has been pretty under the weather.(BUT GETTING BETTER EVERY DAY) She ended up getting food poisoning from some yucky lobster then waited wayyyyyyyy to long to call the Dr. We spent all of Saturday in the hospital, many tests later, many $$$ later, she is now on a couple killer anti-biotics for the next week +.

Then, on Tuesday I get called at work, the hot water heater burned up, literally!!! thankfully everyone was home. So off to by a new tank and get the plumber over, of course this all happend when the mighty $$$ is TIGHT!!!!
