Anywhere on the ship is great as long as we are there

Not only is it great to be on the ship but its even better with the good friends we've met.

Just found this one on the MeganeCC-Forum (Boards for our new car):
A doctor was having an affair with his nurse. Shortly after this started, she told him she was pregnant. Not wanting his wife to know, he gave the nurse a large sum of money and asked her to go to Germany and have the baby there. "But how will I let you know the baby is born?" she asked. He replied, "Just send me a postcard and write "sauerkraut" on the back." Not knowing what else to do, the nurse took the money and flew to Germany.

Six months went by and then one day the doctor`s wife called him at the office and explained, "Dear, you received a very strange post card in the mail today and I don`t understand what it means." The doctor said "Just wait until I get home and read it and I will explain it to you."

Later that evening the doctor came home, read the postcard, fell to the floor with a heart attack - and died. So the wife picked up the card and read "Sauerkraut, Sauerkraut, Sauerkraut, Sauerkraut - Two with wieners, two without."
:teeth:

We are back from our girls trip to Sedona and the rest of Arizona.....we got in late last night and am currently dealing with getting back on EST....Arizona doesn't go on Daylight Saving Time so it is a three hour time difference....got up today at 10:00 a.m. which was actually 7:00 a.m. Arizona time...oh well...back to work tomorrow so reality will really hit then!!

Speaking of hot.....114 degrees is just too hot although the locals will tell you that it is a dry heat....dry heat or not, at 114 degrees, you can fry eggs on the sidewalk....it was like 102 degrees at midnight. Sedona is usually alot cooler but it was around 99-100 degrees and there was humidity (even the locals said this) so it was hot....came home last night to 74 degrees and was freezing!! Lots of wildfires in Arizona...around Cave Creek and Carefree and Bumble Bee, Arizona....they shut down the main north/south corridor to Sedona (I-17) and it was a nightmare....so sad to see all of the vegetitation burned black....even the median of the highway was burned black and this is why the interstate was closed...we ran into several people whose houses were destroyed in the fire (one family was staying at our resort)...so sad.

We really travelled around alot and had no difficulty....I drove and Sarah navigated. We found P.F. Chang's in Tempe so we had a really good dinner.

Sam is off for Christmas break so we are going to try and plan a Christmas family vacation if we can afford the airfare!!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, JENN!! Hope you had a great day!! Mary Jo

Wow: That's 46°C, MaryJo :earseek: I guess, Arizonians go to hell to cool off :rotfl2:
We still are in the lower 30ies (80ies/90ies in F) over here, but in Southern Europe it's 40°C/104°F and more. Additionally they're suffering from a severe draught. If there isn't any rain within the next two weeks the Italians will lose most of their crop - And we Germans will have to pay for it through the European Union, but I guess that's the price we have to pay for being a Union - Although the darn Tommies right now aren't willing to pay that price
Fortunately there haven't been any large forest fires so far at the Mediterranean, but that's only a matter of time I'm afraid.

Hope you had a great time Mary Jo and Sarah. 114 degrees is hot. Not sure if I'd like it that hot although it is supposed to be a dry heat.

Heat wave here is supposed to continue for the rest of the week. Last night though boy did it rain. We had to go out and were sitting in the car waiting for it to stop and the water was coming down so hard that the drain in the parking lot couldn't work properly and a lake appeared. Once it stopped raining though the drain could catch up and the lake disappeared. We also had some hail as well.

Off to get ready for work - at least it's a short week.

Fiona

What a coincidence, Fiona:
We woke up at 440am this morning due to a heavy thunderstorm with torrential rain. We usually get up at 455am, but due to the weather I reset our alarm to 520am and drove Anja to work instead of her taking the train. Now it's very hot again and extremely humid, the skies are overcast and it looks like more rain.
Fortunately the forecast for Vienna looks very promising. Although we will visit a lot of museums, we'll also do that Segway-tour, a rivercruise on the Danube, and want to see the zoo and botanical gardens, which calls for good weather.

Eric and Anja have a great vacation.

Ave--- Glad you enjoyed your visit to DC. Sorry that your sister got sick.

Fionna-- It is to get cooler here as we are to be getting cooler air from Canada. Must not be from your part of Canada.

MaryJo-- I like heat, but the temperature in AZ is even more than I could tolerate. One of the reasons I didn't go to my conference in Las Vegas 2 weeks ago was because of the heat.

Happy Belated Birthday to Jenn.

The main reason we do DCL is because of all the friends that we have made over the past few years.

Nancy

How 'bout this for a hidden Mickey? I hope it wasn't Yogi that punched him in the nose! :rotfl:

Eric, I am glad I am NOT 14 years old. Would not want to go through that again. :goodvibes

:grouphug: to all my Dis Friends!

Hello Allen

The friends that we have made while cruising with DCL have a special place in our hearts. Everyone have a safe and happy holiday and a great fourth of July.

Mike

You are so right, Mike!! I loved everyone that I met on Cruisetoberfest II, and oh how sad I was when we had to cancel III. But, I can't wait to get onboard IV and meet all the new people and see my old friends.

We're heading to Chicago early on Friday morning for the 4th of July weekend. We're going to go to the Taste of Chicago and visit with friends and family that we haven't seen in a while. Everyone have a safe & happy Independence Day!!!

We had heavy thunderstorms in Frankfurt last night. Some of the slanted windows in our roof leaked a bit as obviously their drainage-tubes are clogged by rotten leafs - Have to call our facility management to have them clean it.
But we weren't the only ones with such a problem: Last night there was the final game of the ConFed-Cup, a kind of dress rehearsal for next year's Soccer World Championship in Frankfurt's newly renovated Soccer Stadium. Unfortunately the retractable roof, which is made of a kind of fabric, leaked in several places.

... I can't let the opportunity pass :teeth:

#3500 is mine :Pinkbounc  :bounce:
