10/12/08-4 night Wonder anniversary cruise

I was thinking of doing the same thing so I just wanted to be sure! The lowest rate I found was $175, however. Where did you find the $155 rate?

It's a AAA (American Automobile Association)rate. Otherwise $175 was the lowest I saw too.

Hello Shipmates, just letting you know in case you haven't purchased your airline tickets yet, Southwest just releast flights through October.

AlohaBob -- you rock!!! I had been checking everyday except, of course, for today!!! Purchased our tix and got a significant savings vs other carriers' posted airfaire. Now we just gotta wait another bazillion months 'till the cruise. Thanks for the notification!!!

You're welcome DP, we saved over $135.00 per ticket :woohoo:  :yay: thats $270.00 more to spend on the cruise :thumbsup2 thank you Southwest!

Guess we know who is buying the drinks :drinking1 :drinking1

I made my ADR's today for after we depart the ship... Have to say it was sad to know its over in 180 days LOL..

Call me crazy!!! Just found out that they moved the Race For The Taste 10k to the morning of Embarkation. We ran this as a family 2 years ago and are seriously considering doing it the morning of our cruise. I'm not totally out of shape but NOT an elite runner. Anyone else interested??? Might be a fun way to kick off our trip:)

I better not let my DH know about that. He will be running the Twin Cities Marathon the Sunday before we cruise. He might be ready to do a 10K by the next Sunday!

Laura,

Small world! I am also from MN and my 15 year old DD is named Laura. Where are you guys from? And really consider the 10K...I will do it as a WOG (walk/jog). You only need to maintain a 16 minute mile. I figure we'll be on the road by 8:30 or 9:00 puting us at the port by 10:00 or 10:30. We are cruising conierge so will have an automatic group 1 boarding. Tell your husband I am very proud of him. Would like to do a marathon but would definitely need to train. BTW...my hometown of Byron is 8 miles west of Rochester.

Amy

Just got back from work trip to San Francisco, and just booked my flights down to Orlando. Got a great flight on Airtran. The trip can't come fast enough!

Yeah Kimiza!

I've got plane and hotel resies done along with a car ordered for return airport transportation. Ordering some "pirate" type clothing as I write this. Have my calendar marked for 90 days out. What else?

As for Nassau, thinking of doing Pirate Museum and, maybe, the Hilton, but mostly plan to take advantage of the near-empty ship.

Boy, are you right...this baby can't come fast enough!

WOW!!! we are whittling down the days now 157 to go, that is a far cry from the 457 days when I started this thread :woohoo:
Any summer plans, vacations or day trips for any of you before the cruise?
No big plans here other than heading to Maine for a few long weekends over the summer.
Hey steelernut, three more months and Football season starts :happytv: :yay: looks like the Steelers have a bye that week

Yeah, before you know it the count down will be in double digits!

GrumpySue and I will also be going to Maine this summer. We will be going to Kennebunkport for a week for the 4th of July.

Double Digits.. I want double digits ...

I have been so busy that I haven't spent much time cruise planning but will need to get on that.. I got a new job, start in two weeks and of course I negotiated the cruise trip.. I will definitely be ready for a vacation then as I probably won't get anytime off between then.

Wow you'll be right in my neck of the woods, we have a cottage in Lyman about 20 minutes from Kennebunkport. We love going to Federal Jack's Brewpub for lunch or dinner and a few beers......great place and a nice view of the harbor.
Who knows we may be able to bump into each other?

Hi Kelly, congrats on the new job......I may be in the same boat you're in, I may have a new job very soon and will not have any time off until the cruise...... such is life :confused3

Congratulations on your new job, Renysmom!

Maine in the summer sounds lovely, you guys are so lucky!

Nothing definitely planned for summer yet, we may take the kids down to Alton Towers theme park, but DS wants to go to football training, that will pass some of the time for him.

We will be heading to Myrtle Beach, SC for a week for the 4th of July. My dad has a house down there, it is basically a vacation of Beach, mini golf, and ice cream! Hard Rock is opening some sort of amusement park there. Should be fun, but it is no Disney!

Bob - I checked the schedule the day it came out & I'm loving it!!!!!!:cool1: I will not have to miss a game. We are going to Pittsburgh in a few weeks to visit family, but other than that no plans until the cruise.

Kim - I take it you have been to M.B. before?? That's where we live. Do you fly or drive down?? What end of the beach is your dad's house?? Hard Rock Park is not much to write home about.:confused3 All the pub they have been giving it you would have thought it was going to be great. I would rather drive to Carowinds near Rock Hill for 1/2 the price & twice the fun.

Keith - We went to Kenny for our honeymoon & stayed at a B&B it was great!!:thumbsup2
