So, is anyone here a Harry Potter fan? Tim and I (well, more so me!) are fans and we plan on battling the crowds to see the Prisoner of Azkaban. I am so excited! Gary Oldham will be soooo good as Sirius Black...

Jill...Sarah is a big Harry Potter fan and plans on going to see the movie on Saturday..Her girlfriends cousin works at our local theater and they get to see all of the movies for free--what a deal....when she gets the books, she can't put them down and the last one was finished in two days!! She always has a book in her purse so if we see you in Colorado she'll be pulling it out at dinner. Stopped at AAA to get a book on Wyoming and we just may venture into Cheyenne...another state knocked off of my list....my family just rolls their eyes when I plan a trip!! Sam and Sarah hate it when I venture anywhere near AAA!!! Mary Jo

Can't wait for Harry Potter!DS has read them all (after I did ) some of them twice! I think we will wait a week to go see the movie, as we hate to be in a big crowd.

You'll have to let me know how Cheyenne is....we live all of 60 miles from Wyoming and I still can't find a reason to go! You can tell Sarah may favorite book of the series is the 3rd. I am actually kinda nervous to see the movie, as I have this book built up so high in my mind!

Ok have to admit that Jim and I are big Harry Potter fans. When the last book came out I ordered it to arrive on the Saturday and it was delivered first thing in the morning, I grabbed it and hide for most of the day until Jim discovered that it had indeed arrived. We are hoping to get to the movie this weekend. The previews look really good.

Still do not need a/c here but glad yours got fixed Mary. Don't think I could survive the summer without it.

Congrats to Eric and Anja are making 2 digits and hopefully for beautiful beach weather for you.

I cant wait to see harry potter. i just got done reading book 3 so its even more exciting and am currently reading book 4 with book 5 on deck to be read. my sister in law gave me all the books for my birthday. i am afraid to go this weekend though because of the crowds - who knows what will happen.

how is everyone? everyday brings us a little bit closer to magic time. cant wait...

Cathy...no way...I'm not that good a mom that I would let her do that and miss school...don't give her any ideas! She is going on Saturday since she goes with her girlfriend (whose cousin works at Cinemark) so she gets in for free for all of the movies!! I still can't talk the girls into taking me--I don't even want to see Harry Potter but she could get me in for free to Shrek 2 and that way, I wouldn't even be with them!! I keep trying.

Cathy...you need to email me with the gas price as I might be up your way after work and if it is still cheap, I will stop!

Have to laugh about Sarah, Mary Jo. Movies are the one thing that my DS will go to with me. Why? Because I'll pay or use free coupons that I've redeemed with Airmiles etc. I think he figures that since it's dark no one will notice that he's with his mother.

Fiona..actually Sarah will go to a movie and lunch with me whenever her girlfriend isn't available since I am paying. The best thing is that she get $10.00 a week for lunch--she usually hoards that money and then hits up Sam for food when she gets home because she is just starving....so he goes and gets her something and he pays....pretty smart kid. She has a jar in her room that is like the local bank!!

Just hung up with Mike = Papa ... seems he had some twings in the chest and they snagged him for the angioplasty. He got thru OK and has a blockage that they said doesn't need immediate attention, except to watch his weight and exercise. Maybe he can convince the doctor to give him a prescription to do a DCL cruise and walk deck 4!

papa, glad to hear everything was OK. Please take care of yourself!

Took DD to the 1 pm showing of Harry Potter today. It was VERY good. DD said "OMG...it's the best movie I've ever seen."
One of the girls at work left a little early and was there when the box office opened. She snagged our tickets by 11:45. Then she went home to get her hubby, and I went home to pick up DD. The show was sold out, so we didn't get to sit all together. But the real crowd was there buying tickets for tonights showings as we were entering.
I too have read all the books. Sirius Black was great, but his part was quite small. The Hipogriff(?) part bird part horse was fantastic. And the Wesley Twins get cuter with every film.

Got to get dinner cooking! Bubba Burgers!

Just got back from Harry Potter, too! I LOVED it!!! Unfortunately, Tim got paged out on a SWAT call right in the middle of the movie...he left, took the car and my cell phone, as I refused to leave the movie! So, a twenty dollar cab ride later (after begging business to use their phone ) I made it home, and waiting to see it again. Good, good stuff....

We just may have to see it again so Tim can watch the whole thing!

Not a Harry Potter fan. Have not read any of the books or seen any of the movies.

Hope Eric and Anja are enjoying their vacation.

Norm's birthday was today so we celebrated by going to the Greek Festival and having Gyros. The Greek Church in our area has a Gyro festival three times a year and they have the best food. The built a new church all on Gyro money. The Gyros are our favorite but have other meals and of course all their wonderful pastries.

When we were at WDW, I had bought this hanging plantar at the Epcot Flower Show and had it shipped to me. Well, today I received this huge package. So inside was my planter without the pots. Now this planter is small and I could have brought it home with me, but I didn't want to bring one more thing home on the plane so just wanted it shipped. Well, the reason the box was so big and heavy is instead of sending me the small plastic pots they sent me this 3 foot African Wooden Art Work. We didn't even unwrap the entire thing just enough so I could sort of see what it was. So had to call WDW. Someone is going to research this and get back to me what I need to do. Of course, it will mean I need to go to UPS to return this thing.

I leave tomorrow for my conference. So back to Florida to Tampa this time for 5 days. No husband and no kids. I plan to do all the education sessions and in the evening just relax and read and enjoy the time alone.

So will check in with everyone when I get back.
