We just got back and I'm planning my next trip! Maybe for October and the Food & Wine Festival?!!!
I still have just under $400 in Disney GCs and $40 on a Merchandise GC after all of our spending. And we spent freely on this trip! Lots of souvenirs, ride photos and cocktails with dinner.
I had a nice surprise at Yak & Yeti. I had checked my Landry's Select card before departing for Disney and it only had the original $25 sign up bonus on it. No worries, since I also had $65 in Landry's GCs. Well, when the waitress ran the card, it not only had the original $25, it also had 2 $25 birthday bonuses!!!! I'm not sure how that happened or where it came from but she said not to worry about it. The problem was corporate's problem and not mine! So even after a very generous tip, I walked out of the restaurant with $40 in Landry's GCs still in my pocket for next time!
I used 5 days off of a 10-day hopper that doesn't expire. Just enough for a 4-night trip! My niece also repaid me for her ticket upgrade ($243), so that's more cash for my next trip!
I'm estimating that 4 nights at the Boardwalk (water view) will run about $1700 if I can snag a good discount. Add another $600 for food for 2 adults and $50 for airfare fees (using Southwest RR points) and the trip should come in around $2500 or less.
Have: $388 in Disney GC, $38.17 on a Merchandise GC and $40 in Landry's GCs, $243 cash
Estimated Cost: ~$2500
Need to Save: $1869
Let the saving resume!
