When you see a family trying to get a group picture, offer to take the picture with them in it.

I can't tell you how many times we have done this in MK by the Walt Disney statue.

If you see someone confused about where to go offer them directions.

If you see someone trying to take a picture don't walk in front of them!! Wait or go around if there is room!! Has happened to me and luckily I have been able to hold off from clicking the picture!

Love the people with fast passes who try and get in before their time and will stay at the entrance til its their time to enter just move to the side and let other s get in!!

when riding the WDW Buses people get on and once all the seats are taken there are people who will stay at the front of the bus instead of moving back!! If part of your group is at the front you can still meet them when getting off the bus
just move to the back!! you are all going to the same place!!!!

2. Dont rub it in when you have fast pass and the regular line is super long.

My number one rule is relax and have fun and don't try to do everything in one trip, you can't.

One of my pet peeves that hasn't been mentioned is parents who insist on putting their child on their shoulders. If you want your children to see a parade get there early, don't come at the last minute and push your way in front of people who have been waiting a long time. You are not the only one entitled to a good view.

1. Try to do at least one nice thing for someone YOU DON'T KNOW every day: give up your seat on the bus, point out Tinkerbell to a child right before the fireworks, give away a fastpass. We always expect the CM's and Disney to provide all the magic, but maybe we could start a trend!

2. Take an afternoon break: if you can't get back to your hotel, just find a quiet spot someplace and just veg out for an hour. We take a boat ride from MK to Ft. Wilderness and relax. At Epcot we find a spot in WS and people watch. At MGM we get on the friendship boats and cruise around the Boardwalk area.

3. Don't Rambo-tour - if you can't take the time to enjoy it, then you probably shouldn't do it at all. I think I am the only person in the World who sometimes misses the long lines. The ques sometimes have wonderful theming!

4. Try not to get mad over the little things. Nobody is perfect including CM's and Disney. Just roll with the flow and think about all the people who will never have a chance to go to WDW.

Please don't fart when you are in an enclosed area of any kind
Example: the stretch room in the HM - hold it till you reach the doom buggie or when your on a long hot line when there is no air like Space Mountain, or any elevator of any kind.

Those are all good ones! Especially the one about the parades.... it never ceases to amaze me how 200 pound adults muscle there way past small toddlers to get in the front for a parade and then stick a big video camera in their way so they can't see.

I have a few more to add today....


*Don't force your kids to ride rides that they are afraid of. When I see parents dragging kids on Dinosaur it really bugs me.

*Don't put your child on your shoulders when you're in the front of a crowd. Then the people behind can't see. If you must have your child up there then move to the back!

*Don't allow your children to spray random strangers with mister bottles. They have become the weapon of choice for many annoying kids.

*If your child is too short for a ride then get out of line and don't stand there arguing about how the ground is uneven and you are SURE he/she is tall enough. Trust the CM to be able to measure accurately.

*Don't run over kids while boarding the buses. I was putting my kids on the bus yesterday (they are only 1 and 3) and this huge man just barelled over them to get on the bus. I couldn't believe it.

*Don't smoke unless you're in a designated smoking area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's really really out of hand.

Only rent a wheelchair when you actually need it. I don't know how many times I have seen very able people using wheelchairs in order to get special treatment with respect to lines.

I've seen people take turns sitting in the wheelchair!!!

Well, get this! I saw a kid driving one of those electric wheelchair vehicles yesterday! He was laughing and having a good old time. He couldn't have been more than 10 years old, and was practically running people down over by Peter Pan. An older man was with the group, I think it was his. He was just laughing right along.

Also I saw a kid today kicking one of the characters in the butt over and over while the parents stood there and laughed.

I understand the thing about wheelchairs, but I must say that my father used a wheel chair in WDW. He did not look sick, he did not want to use it all the time only when he was tired. He had cancer and was just finished with his chemo. We were on one last family vacation together....he passed away 2 months later at 62 years of age. So whenever I see someone in a wheel chair, I do not think that would be their perferred method of transportation in the parks. I know it seems that some people may need it most of the time and want to get up and walk around like everyone else. Maybe that is when you are seeing them not using it, and other family members sitting/playing in it.

I'm not trying to start anything, but you have to understand, not everyone that is sick, looks sick. Orlando is a very hot humid place and WDW is very large, you may not know what people suffer from, nor do you need to. You just have to understand and know that nobody would want to be in a wheelchair if they did not need to.

The kid racing around in a wheelchair is horrible, so is the kid kicking the charachters . No excuse for that kind of stuff!

This bothers me too, but no so much because of a blocked parade view (although that is a good reason to not like this). I once saw a father with his son on his shoulders get off the Monorail at the TCC. As he started down the ramp he didn't notice that there were beams that were lower than the roof of the walkway. Next thing you know....WHAMMMM!!! The poor kid was hit in the head pretty hard. What made it worse is the father then began to yell at the kid as if it was his fault. The kid was crying, the father was yelling, the other hundred or so people were looking embarrased.

Whenever I see this, I always wonder how the father would feel if they tripped, fell, and really hurt their child.

If you are at a show like muppett vision 3D, take off your hat!!!

While in a crowd, don't stop and point. you could poke somebodys eye out.

Don't "make out" in the lines. get a room.

Watch your language. please no cursing or nasty talk.

don't stand in the middle of the road to take a picture of your family and expect me to stop and wait for you. YOU wait until the coast is clear THEN take your picture.

If your kid complains about being sick...listen to them! Last time at Ak I saw a poor boy ( about 6) who had fallen and busted his lip. here was this poor kid crying, with a bloody swollen lip and his mom was like " you'll be fine...have a drink of water". I always have this huge medical kit with me and offered them a piece of guaze and some kids Motrin for pain and then recommended a popcicle for the swelling. She was like " Oh, I guess he is hurt..I though he was acting" HUH? Blood=not acting.
Don't kick people in front of you at shows. I hate it when people put their feet up on your bench back and repeatedly nudge you. I generally let them know my displeasure " excuse me..perhaps you are confused...this is a bench..that is the ground. Shoes go on the ground..get it?"
Don't let your kids run around in a restaurant. This is true of anywhere but I cannot stand being visited by a kid I do not know during my dinner. I know it sounds mean but I am paying to enjoy my dinner with MY family...not to babysit someone else's ( who is enjoying their meal becasue...NO KIDS).
And, as always...be nice. Help out someone who needs it, give a balloon to any kid ( as long as they didn't join you for lunch), and have fun!

If you find yourself on a very crowded bus and your 5 or 6 yr. old is taking up a valuable seat, please put them on your lap and offer their seat to an adult or elderly person. I've done this several times and people are forever grateful, especially late at night. My kids are now 10 and 11, and I'll still have my kids either stand or try to sit on our laps in order to let older people with babies be able to sit.

Grinning Ghost, that is exactly me!!! I'm 38 years old and I don't WANT to know how everything works. I perfectly happy to willingly supsend my urge to disbelieve. For that reason I wouldn't take the KttK tour if it were free. I want to enjoy the magic and help my kids do the same.
