Hi All, I changed my reservation from one Verandah room to 2 OV connecting room, my questions is that can I purchase 1 photo package to use for both rooms? the trip will be with my parents and my 2 kids, my parents will likely be with us most of the time and take pictures together, do i just have them take pics and scan my KKTW card? will be on the western C on the Fantasy next june. thanks!

Each room must purchase it's own package. Only exception is where there are two rooms with nuclear family (dad & minor kids in one room, and mom & minor kids in the second). In that case, both rooms can be included in the full digital package. Rooms with extended family (grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins, etc) cannot be combined.

BUT, for each room that purchases a full digital package, an additional room (for larger groups) can purchase their own package for 50% off.

As a final note, if only one room (say, yours with you, your husband, and kids) purchases the digital package, any photos taken with at least one of you in it will be included. Any photos taken with only occupants of the second room will not.

On our cruise last month. We had 2 rooms as well. The first with my parents and me. The second room with my brother, his wife and their 2 children. We pre-purchased the digital and print package for my brother's room. We always did a group picture, then my brother's family, and finally the kids. If we I wanted to take a picture individually, then my brother or my dad would take the picture. We would always present my sister-in-law's card. If they asked for two cards, then I would give them mine. We ended up with a total of about 415 pictures on my brother's room. I think we had like 10 pictures on my room with either my parents or me individually. However, they ended up in the package anyways, which we did not mind. It worked out well for us on this cruise.

On the cruise 2-3 years ago, we ended up purchasing the second stateroom because we ended up with 200+ pictures on the second stateroom. So, we purchased it on the last night for 50% off. We ended up with around 600 pictures on that cruise.

We're cruising on Black Friday and DD purchased the photo package for their room. We , the grandparents, did NOT purchase a package for ours. My guess is that all but two or three of the pictures will have at least one of the grand girls or the whole family in them. DH and I will probably have one or two pictures of just us but we can easily purchase them separately for way less than the cost of a photo package - even if we could qualify for 50% off. And DD and I will both probably have out iPhones and can take pictures with those if we need some of just me and DH.

You can connect only 1 additional stateroom IF your minor child is in that 2nd stateroom.

Aka if just only Grandparents in room2...no go, if grandparents plus YOUR minor child then its a go.

Only thing from that point is it includes only the minor child so...

Examples:
~everyone in room 1 plus room 2-yes!
~everyone in room 2 (grandparents and child)-yes!
~everyone in room 1 and child from room 2-yes!
~room 2's grandparents only-NO! (They need either someone, anyone from room 1 or the minor child!)

Hope that helps! :-)

Follow up- we had this issue.

My husband and 2 kids were in room 1-we bought shutters package.
Me and 1 kid were in room 2-linked the package.

I did Castaway Cay 5k... none of my individual pictures were included! I needed to have a minor or room 1 person with me. But my husbands individual pictures with jack sparrow were included cause he was on room 1.

Well, this is frustrating! We have the same situation, and are on the EBTA. I don't want to have to pay double that considerable cost or make sure that certain kids are always in the picture.

You get 50% off the second package if you buy 2. But it still was very expensive.

We pre-ordered for a 7 day Magic Cruise and bought all the prints and digital ($400 on pre-order)!! Still ended up paying the $20 per print for my CC5K pics :-/

Wish the magic had the deluxe family OV rooms like the fantasy/dream that can have a family of 5. It was cheaper for us to get 2 Inside room than 1 veranda on magic, just caused a mess with shutters

Looks like this comes up more often than not, thank you all for the great info!

So right now I'm set up as Room 1 (me and my 2 kids), Room 2 (grandparents),, if i change the booking to Room 1 (me and one kid), room 2 (grandparents and 1 kid) I should be able to link the package?

We're in the same spot, so thanks to the OP for posting!!

Parents and one child in one room, us (grandparents) and second child in second room. According to the above, it looks like one package will work for us, as Papa and I really don't care if there are pics with just us.

Yes, room 1 purchases photo package and links minor child in room 2 to the package.

Any photos taken that include either you or the one kid in your room or the one kid in room 2 will be included in the package. Any photos taken with only the grandparents from room 2 will not. Although, sometimes they slip through.

This! Due to that reason, you really do not need to change the reservation because if a child is in a picture with the grandparents, it will be included. No matter what, if the grandparents are in a picture by themselves, they are technically not included.

I had this problem on the EBTA. My mom and MIL were in a room with me, while the kids and hubby were in a different room. They would not include the few pictures of my mom and MIL by themselves.

Yes! This is correct. Switching a child will not change the grandparents individually not being included.

Technically the best way is to have Room 1 (you, 1 grandparent, 1 child) Room 2 (1 grandparent, 1 child)....Buy the package on Room 1 and link room 2!

Woo Hoo! :yay:Now you can have family pictures and pictures of just grandparents (since 1 is in room 1)

Yes yours is good to go than. Just be sure to purchase the package on the Parent's room (room 1) and than link your room.

What if it's Mom and one child in one room, then Dad and one child in another room? With only one package, say for Mom and first child, would any pictures of Dad alone be included? I assume the second child would be included, being a minor.

Yes, the only exception to the "each room must purchase their own package" requirement is when a nuclear family is in two rooms (mom & minor kids in one plus dad & minor kids in the other). Everyone is included in that particular set up.

Except MrsWaltDisney86 had that very setup and still didn't get all her pictures.

Yes, I see that, but it's not the norm. It's not clear from her post whether all the "kids" were minor kids.

If that started happening to me, you can bet I'd be at the Shutters desk to clear it up as soon as I noticed that DH's photos weren't being included. You can check your folder at any time to confirm what photos are in there.

This is good to know...we are cruising with 5 families total. Someone told me we could link them all together, but sounds like that is not the case. But as long as someone from our family is in the photo (AKA group photos or kid photos) it sounds like we will get them on the account. Thanks!

If it would be worth it to you (with that number of rooms), as long as one room purchases the full digital package at full price, a second room can purchase at 50% off. Gives you more chances that at least someone from one of two rooms will be in the picture.
