Hi all, We're a family of six (kids age range 2-8) and are finally getting to go to Orlando for the first time together in early May! We will be in the area, for unrelated reasons to WDW, for the first two weeks-ish of May
Due to the fact our kids have never done theme park stuff, we'd like to avoid crowds as much as possible- to not overwhelm them.
What days of the week (guessing not weekend days!) work well for the first two weeks of May, in your experience for avoiding crowds?
Our plan is to do either 1 or 2 park days
1 park day: Magic Kingdom (our kids really want to see the castle!)
OR
2 park days: Magic Kingdom for one, Hollywood Studios for the second (our kids love Cars movies the most, and my husband is into Star Wars, so would this be the best 2nd park for these interests?)
Also, any advice whether Genie or Lightening Pass would be worth buying? Our kids have zero expectations about the number of rides they'll go on. And this isn't going to be our last trip to WDW, but we don't necessarily plan to return for a few years, so we'd love to make it as enjoyable and smooth as possible.
Thanks!
