We are going in December and on our first night need a hotel before we drive down to the gulf coast. We are considering going to Disney Springs the next morning before setting off so I thought a WDW hotel would be nice for the night. The prices seem really high at the minute, has anyone found a good site, we are looking at staying Thursday 15th December. Any tips appreciated.

Just keep an eye on Trivago, at some point Travel Republic or someone will have a sale on

When I was looking for October a couple of weeks ago I found WDTC UK cheapest.

If you thinking of DTD then have a look at Buena Vista Palace - it's perfect for DTD as its in walking distance (literally across the road) and is really nice hotel.

Good suggestion Elise, POFQ is £177 on Trivago, £138 on WDTC. The Buena Vista £106 on Trivago.

At the minute we are still swaying towards a WDW hotel as this will be our little Disney fix!

Would it be possible to rent DVC points for one night? I don't know whether a studio would work out cheaper or even if people would rent for one night?

Not sure about the DVC fir 1 night? Just checked and last July we stayed at CSR business class and paid less than £150 per night so prices at the minute do seem a bit higher.

I recommend Hilton Bonnet Creek.

I'm curious, I've looked at this one before, and the reviews vary wildly! It looks to be in the middle of a room renovation project so that could be it.

Just wondered if your experience was that of a refurbed room?

If so that would be a request to make when booking :)

The refurb had just started so our room wasn't done but it still was really nice.

They are completely re-doing the pool area as well.
