1 night room switch-worth it?

Arriving late(7-8pm) on 2/4 , current reservation at GF 7 nights(4 of which are at AP rate) Should I consider staying say at WL lodge first night(w AP rate, I figure $300 saving) and then have luggage transfered to GF, next day while we are at MK?

We are doing just that. We have our DVC stay scheduled at BWV for Jan. 30th - Feb. 5th but I just booked us for a one night stay at AKL for Jan. 29th. Now we are arriving on the 29th about 3:00 at AKL. We plan on using that day to rest up after our travel day. We hope it will be nice enough to use the pool and we'll definetly be viewing the animals and plan on eating at Boma that night. The next day we will have Disney transfer our luggage to BWV while we hit a park!

We also stayed at AKL for 1 night before moving to GF. No problems at all. I personally love resort hopping. However, my DS 14 told me on our recent trip this past Aug he likes staying put in 1 resort the entire time. Where did he come from?

we are DVC members as well and do the same thing.

i just added the night of jan 22 to our vacation, i booked CR Tower. the next day we will move over to old key west for five more nights.
