I need to make 1 more TS ADR not in one of the parks. We will have a car so getting to another resort is not an issue. I am taking my mom who hasn't been in a while so I am hoping for something good for her. Please, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

which restaurants do you already have picked out?

What type of food/atmosphere are you looking for? Characters or no?

We already have the following:
Sci-Fi-my kids like it
Chef Mickey's
Teppan Edo
Coral Reef
Wolfgang Puck
Tusker House.

We really don't want another character meal. Thanks for your opinions!

I also vote for Kona, we ate there last year and have ADR's again this year. The NY strip was great!!! Oh, and the chocolate volcano cake!:cool1:

have had the teriyaki steak and the prime rib at Kona...very good (and the fresh hot Hawaiian bread with macadamia nut butter is wonderful. Also fab desserts there.) But we found Kona to be just a bit noisy (it's open to the atrium-lobby at the Poly.) We really liked The Wave at the
contemporary...really tasty beef, and out of this world dessert trios. Upscale decor at a 1 TS price. And quieter. We also liked the Grand Floridian Cafe...fun way to check out the sumptious decor at the Grand Floridian, and good food. Loved the blackberry mojito! And get the dessert sampler to share...beautiful to look at and delicious to eat-also a one TS meal.

While you will see families at all three of these, they have a bit more of an "adult" feel to them

You can drive to any of these resorts & get a 3 hour parking permit-tell the guard you're dining. After eating, explore the resort (the Poly & thye Grand Flor. are pretty lush gardens & such) Or hop the resort monorail for a ride.

We just got back from Disney, and our out-of-the-park dinner was at Raglan Road in Downtown Disney...it was by far our favorite dinner of the entire week! I highly recommend it. It can get a bit loud, but you can request a table further away from the live band and it's not bad. The food was excellent and the service blew Disney out of the water! (They do accept the dining plan.)

Okay, just made an ADR for Kona but cancelled Wolfgang Puck's Cafe because I read a couple of terrible reviews so I still have 1 more to go. I made ADR for House of Blues (after LaNouba) and they do not accept the DDP. Thanks everyone!

I agree Raglan Road was awesome & we all loved it! :thumbsup2

Raglan Road, Spoodles or Kona come to mind as good choices.

Haven't been, but will be soon, to the Wave at the Contemporary. Menu looks very good.

I vote 'Ohana, although you may not want that if you're doing Kona.
I've also heard great things about Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate it. I went ahead and booked Kona, I think the other one I am going with is going to be The Wave. The desserts look totally awesome!

The Wave is totally on my try it next time we go list. I've also heard rave reviews about Spoodles. I think that's a great way to get over to the Broadwalk for an evening.

BTW, Kona is currently my favorite dinner on property. Their tuna is to die for! My hubby is a steak guy and says he's ordering the tuna next time we go.

We are trying The Wave in September. It has gotten really good reviews lately.

As for WCC, we are one of those who did not care for it at all. We may try it for breakfast at some point, but we won't be going back for dinner.
