I am so excited!!
So now I am curious what are the essentials that we need to do?
We have a 5 day pass and I want to fit in as much as possible. We are going for the Haunted Mansion celebration and have a Breakfast booking for Ariels Grotto.

You are going at such a nice, quiet time that you shouldn't have ANY trouble doing almost EVERYTHING in both parks in five days!

Don't neglect:
--Aladdin at the Hyperion Theater
--Billy Hill and the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe Saloon
--a relaxing riverboat ride around the river on the Mark Twain. (Find the captain when you check in and ask to sit up in his quarters)
--a nice lunch at Blue Bayou
--take some time to walk through the Grand Californian lobby and through the grounds at the Disneyland Hotel
--check out the new stuff coming up at CA Adventure inside the Golden Vine Winery building
--Have a salad in a bread bowl at Pacific Wharf
--take a right next to the front of the castle and check out Snow White's wishing well. Stay long enough to hear her singing in the well and to watch the fish dance.
--DO NOT MISS THE FIREWORKS!!!!!!
--Sit down on the porch chairs on Main St. and watch people (Have an ice cream or cup of coffee while you do it!)
--Go on every attraction and then repeat. Use FastPass often to save yourself time (and remember that even though they have a timeframe on them, you can use them ANYTIME after the timeframe too during that same day!)

HAVE FUN!!!!!

Hey Tink91, I'll be at the HM event on 09/09/09 also! I fly in on the 5th (my birthday!) ter-moo has a nice little list going. Add a churro and a turkey leg and you're set!

I have a feeling I will be eating loads!! :rotfl:

I am not a big fan of Turkey, I only like chicken breast and minced meat...I am picky I know!!

I wish I could go on the Boat but it is closed when I am there:headache:

Well definitely add the churro, I'm not a turkey leg eater myself so I skip those. :) DBF keeps saying he's going to try one but it hasn't happened yet. lol They are just too greasy for me, I much prefer the white meat. :)

I like the list posted and only wanted to add that I hope you have FUN FUN FUN!!!!

Thank you!!

I am hanging to try a tigger tail!!

Can anyone tell me about those free tortilla things?

Also, anymore musts ?? :)

Along the food lines, my must is a mint julep from the mint julep bar over in New Orleans Square! My all time favorite at DLR, that is.

Hey Tink91 we arrive on the same day :thumbsup2

I am hanging out for a corndog. I need to book for the Fantasmic desert seating in the next day or two.

That list is pretty good. I would say definitely don't miss Pirates of the Carribean and Soarin' Over California!

Don't miss an ice-cream from Burr-bank in DCA - absolutely outstanding!

Have a great time!

Thank you!!

In CA Adventure Park, in the Pacific Wharf section, you can do two quick tours: one through the Mission Tortilla Factory where you get a WARM, free tortilla at the end; and the other through Boudin's Sourdough Bread Factory (definitely the more entertaining tour if you watch it) where you get a free piece of bread at the beginning.

Whats a mint jeulep?

A mint julep is a traditional American cold drink (from the deep south) made with mint, bourbon, sugar and water. HOWEVER, at Disneyland, there's no alcohol in it. Just a minty sweet cold drink. You can also get them at the Blue Bayou.

I'd also like to add that you should get a Dole Whip in front of the Tiki Room and maybe stop one morning for beignets in Downtown Disney at the Jazz Kitchen Express. YUM!!!!!

My mum would love one of those!!

Any other suggestions? there has to be more!!!popcorn::

Food wise: A dole whip. Delish. or the Monte Cristo at the Blue Bayou.

Attaction wise: Everyone has their faves. I love it all and in 5 days you can certainly do it all.

Thanks for your help so far...

I posted this in the Aussie planners section and got absolutely no reply from anyone so maybe you guys can help :sad1:
