If you can, please say a prayer or have a positive thought for my dn.

SIL took him to dr's last week, having projectile vomiting. Pedi first thought a virus. Last night they admitted him. I can't remember the name, but it's something to do with the musle. It needs to be fixed.

He should be out in a day or two.

I remember "handing" Brittany over when she got her tubes. Even thought you know it's a simple procedure, it's the worst feeling in your life.....

That would be scary. I just said a prayer for your nephew. I hope all goes well and he's doing much better soon.

Was it Pyloric Stenosis? My son had surgery for this when he was 4 weeks old. Although scary, he did great. Prayers are on the way!

Poor baby, Prayers are being sent his way. Let us know how he is doing after the surgery

Prayers and PD from Illinois.
He will be fine.

He will be in my thoughts. I just became an aunt for the first time back in October. I could not imagine a baby so young needing a major surgery. Very scarey.

Sounds like Pyloric Stenosis. My DS had that and had surgery at 5 weeks old.

The good news is that the doctor told us if you have to have anything wrong with your child, this is the thing to have. Its a very simple surgery. Of course, when its your child or your nephew, it doesnt matter, its still horrible to have to go through.

Hang in there and know that things will be fine in no time. And that horrible vomitting will stop immediately! :D

Prayers & Pixie Dust on the way!

Yes, that's it.

My mother who is an RN was explaning it to me. I don't work in medicine, so the words just went right over my hear.

Thanks, everyone.

P & PD are on the way.

My DD had surgery to probe a blocked tear duct at 9 months. I was not able to go into the operating room with her because I was pregnant again. My husband brought her in. I cried almost the entire time we were waiting for he to go in. I cried when they took her. I cried the whole way to the waiting room, and then when I went into the bathroom. By the time I got back to the waiting room, we were called to the recovery room. She was done.

All that crying and worry for nothing. She was fine. But the feeling of giving your child to someone is heart-wrenching. You never know what is going to happen with surgery.

Good luck to you and your DN. I'm glad it is something they caught early and can fix.

Sending prayers and PD.

My son had the same symptoms but his case wasn't operable. We saw a pediatric surgeon and were told that this is very common especially in boys. From what we were told it is a simple procedure. It is just so hard to see them that little and having to have an operation. The baby will be just fine.

Be happy that they found the problem and it can be fixed with this procedure. My son is still being tested 10mo later:rolleyes:

Thanks for letting us help, it is very scary when a little one is sick. PD, Prayers and lots of {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Prayers are being said for everyone involved including the doctors and nurses to help him be as comfortable as possible. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.
