1 little, 2 little, 3 little ... but 10!?

Aw...I would love one as well. Our 15 year old female Lab just passed recently. She was wonderful.

Beautiful momma and adorable puppies. I loved my lab, and I'm trying to wear DH's resistance down-he's a cat person. Those chocolates are calling to me!

Beautiful! Our "baby" is a 8 mo old chocolate lab. She's going through the dopey stage right now, but we sure love her. Even if she drives our 5 yr old French Spaniel crazy. Our 3 dds already want another one!

oh, I want one!!! or 5! labs are the best. great pic and what a happy mommy........

AWWWWW Baby labs!!! :dog: We have a 6 month old black lab who is irresistibly cute no matter how bad he's been and a sweet 7 year old yellow. Would love to one day have a chocolate to round out the trio, but I didn't want the second one - DH brought him home unannounced this summer.

Congrats! :cheer2: They are so cute! I love the look of chocolate labs. If only I had the room for one.

We've had our Black Lab, Mickey since March! Congrats! They are all adorable!!! :dog2:

They are precious! Give the proud parents a hug from me. :goodvibes

Sooo cute. I love black labs too. My first dog was a black lab that lived to be 14. He was like another kid in our family. He was so "human-like" it was unreal. He had to eat what we ate, go where we went, etc. He understood so much of our language-it was amazing. I think my Tuffy really thought he was a people. They are very smart animals.

But now I can't get that song out of my head. "1 little , 2 little, 3 little..." :paw:

We have two black labs one 3 years
one 7 months
and I want one of those adorable puppies too :goodvibes :goodvibes

We're just over an hour west of Fort Wayne, Indiana. We have to sell them all. With Shadow, Simba and Jack ... we don't have a big enough house for 4.

We had actually planned on looking into breeding and raising labs next year. What happened was Shadow was in heat and while I told the boys to not let Shadow and Simba out at the same time they didn't listen / understand why. Being 6 & 10 they hadn't heard about the birds and bees yet. Oops.

We actually didn't know she was going to have 10. She was huge but I never imagined 10! We were able to watch the first 7 being born. It was so amazing. #1 was born, long pause, then #2 - 7 came pretty close together then there was a long pause so we thought she was done. I felt her and even though I felt a hard spot I told myself that it must be an ovary or something because there's no way she could have 8. Wrong! I went into the kitchen while the boys stayed and watched. Then came #8. Same thing, I felt her, felt a hard spot, just an ovary, no way could it be a ninth. Wrong again! She went on to have a 9th and a 10th.

Looking back, I should have known the other lumps were puppies but for some crazy reason I kept saying that more than 7 was impossible. Guess I know better know!

I'll post more pix when they get a wee bit bigger.

Ok, so tell me about labs. At what age would you buy a lab for a boy?

I'm already looking into 'the next pet' because our kitty is reaching her middle-age and by the time she passes away, I think DS will be ready for his first dog.

DH is like 'But why a DOG?"
I keep telling him every boy needs a dog in his life at some point. :teeth:

Wow, 10!!! That is quite the story!

I wish I could have one...I have a black lab (well my parents have it, I'm in college now) and she is a very smart (but sometimes naughty!) dog. She knows so many commands...except the command for "give." She love to steal grocceries out of groccery bags or food from the table when no one is looking, run behind the couch, and devour it! I think last week my mom said she ate a package of corn tortillas and a package of flour tortillas...LOL.

Have fun with your pups!
