1 Day 2-park touring plan

Hi all due to the fact we can only squeeze one day at Universal I was wondering if anyone has a touring plan which includes how to accomplish all the Harry Potter attractions first. We have not been to Universal in about 14 years. We are going to purchase the 1 day 2-park pass and most like stay onsite. If rates drop hoping to stay at one of the resorts that offer express pass. We will be there Friday October 22. I think Universal Studios is the park opening one hour early but not sure if I will be able to get my adult sons out of bed and at the park for 7:00am lol

Start at the studio park first as they will close at 5 that day

Then move to the other park (Islands of Adventure) to finish your one day two park plans
